Ugh, only 1.93 m for Friday? Not good domestically. This should hit around 430 WW.

^ That's a pretty precise prediction.

Can't wait to get some of that myself

i'll send you some Darth Thor.

Golgo's obsession with box office is really unsettling.

Nice. That's why we watch these films after all.

I made a shit load on the Force Awakens 😉

It dropped like 82% from last Friday. 🙁

Only 6.5 M this weekend? Ouch. Not good for fans who want a sequel.

377 million as it stands now on a 160 million dollar budget. Looks to me like a profit and China is a huge market which is still growing. Looks to me like it's doing fine despite tanking in the states.

It's only been 10 days. International should save it.

The only territory it's breaking out is China. And they only get around 55% back. If that. It's a financial disappointment.

Don't count your chickens before they hatch.

Also, at least now this has the achievement of being the highest grossing videogame-based film, IIRC. Previously it was Prince of Persia.

Why not? Warcraft dropped 87% in China. 76 domestic. It's going to need 100 Million in Japan and another 50 million somewhere else to get to 500. I guess it's possible, but highly unlikely.

Warcraft wasn't near as bad as the critics make it out to be. And I really think it WILL get a sequel. They had to go out on a limb and take a chance with this; assuming the next movies start leading into the Arthas and Illidan storylines the fans will support it more.

I really hope it gets a sequel. So much lore there to pull from which could translate into awesome film. Let's hope it makes enough of a profit to continue.

It could. Possibly on the back of it being the highest grossing video game adaptation, but there isn't much profit to be made, ESPECIALLY after it bombed domestic, which is what the studios don't need, seeing as they only get half the profits overseas. If this grosses around 440 and it cost 160 or so to produce, there isn't that much incentive for the studio. How much domestic growth is there?

Do the Undead appear in this movie?

The analysts believe in a few years China will be the biggest market so why ignore that ? T hmovie is definitely making a profit and has a built in fan base. Highest grossing video game film of all time and it isn't done yet. Profit here we come, loser.

No. Centered on the human/orc conflict.

We do get some scenes of some of the other races, but they're mostly minor.

Its basically based on the first game

and don't the Undead not appear until the third game...basically the third movie then if it happen's.
