Well Warcraft has a smaller budget than Pacific Rim, and will likely gross more worldwide. And Pacific Rim also did poorly Domestically.

Still a $24mill domestic OW is nothing for the studio to smile about.

Yeah, by 30 million. Warcraft will have a hard time grossing 65 million domestic. That's a straight up BOMB.

I just read online that he break even for this movie is 500 million worldwide. Should hit that easily.

Break even point is hard to calculate because it depends on how much of that number has come from which markets.

That's why a good domestic figure is usually a good sign for a film making profit.

There was only 2 regular show times at my theater, one being a 10 pm showing, which is insane for an opening night. There's also a few additional 3d versions, which are a fading fad and much more expensive, but it's like the movie's set up to fail.

Any movie with highly limited/inconvienant showtimes will underperform. Even Avengers would have taken a huge hit in overall domestic gross..

There were only two things I had gripes with in the movie: the characters' names that are difficult to remember and a few things I didn't understand unless I played the games which I can easily forgive the latter for since Warcraft is mostly for WoW fans.

Those aside, it's an entertaining flick with great scenery, good characters and decent enough action. The people who live off of critiquing movies are tripping balls if they think it's a contender for worst movie.

Not necessarily. Terminator Genysis had the same sort of domestic opening but grossed 90mill

If Warcraft does something similar domestically then given its International numbers it would be a success. Especially with a budget 30mill smaller than Pacific Rim.

Not considering the worldwide box office. We don't just look at the us's numbers, troll.

Mondays numbers were pretty weak. I don't see this going over 65.

Golgo obsesses over the numbers not the quality of the film. Loser.

This little prick journalist reminds me of what Robtard must look like. Definitely has the snotty and disrespectful behavior down.

Crazy how much China likes this movie... goddamn..

http://www.boxofficemojo.com/movies/?page=intl&id=warcraft.htm

Well they do play 'World of Warcraft' alot over there and other parts of Asia.

China is saving the day. Hope it's enough I want more Gul'dan.

Quickly scanning through the thread, I see quanchi has bandwagoned onto another franchise. Called it.

Has trouble seperating fictional characters from real life.

I know Robbie does which makes the fear of a fictional character that much more embarrassing.

I really can't take credit at this point, saying quanchi's going to bandwagon over onto the next new shiny is like saying 'water is wet' at this point.
