SurturWhat the f*ck has the world come to?
While I agree that the behavior isn't good...
... lemme remind you there's been tons of violent protests, and violent responses to protests, and so on.
Protests that are mostly well behaved with the occasional 'act like asses' is kinda on the high side of protest.

Well I don't see it as well behaved to have obnoxious as all f*ck interruptions and people swearing and being racist at people. Especially when they are upset over racism. Especially when they'd be all up in arms if whites came in calling them filthy blacks. It wasn't just the swearing and being racist, they targeted people wearing symbols of "oppression" including a specific brand of ear plugs.
Just out of curiosity, do you feel this group of protesters deserved apologies from staff members of the school?

It's wrong to have a negative reaction if it is aimed at the wrong target. I.e. if you blame 150 people for one alleged incident. The protest itself. Going into a library for a while and chanting your tagline, seems very benign in the grand scheme of protests. Of course it is obnoxious to the people disagreeing, it always is.

Yeah, that is tough, I wish protest movements could just be quiet and not make a big fuzz, so annoying...

Also, why are you being sarcastic? The implication of the post I responded to was that anyone who found their behavior obnoxious disagreed with their cause, which I disputed. Black lives matter to me just as much as white ones do. Which is to say, they matter far less than my mid-terms.
Why are you moving the goalposts?

Yes, they are disrupting something to get attention to their cause. Like multiple people have said, it's very benign in the scheme of protest movements.
I guess I am "moving" the goalpost that you have arbitrarily set for my post, but oh well.

It's benign compared to many more antagonistic protests, sure, but it's still obnoxious to the students there.
So now you're going to pretend that you didn't say that it's obnoxious specifically for people who disagree with their tagline ("Black Lives Matter", if you recall)? Lol k.

Yeah, it's awful how these students couldn't have silence for a couple minutes, and my heart bleeds for them, but as they say, you can't make an omelette without slightly inconveniencing some college students for a short period of time.
Look, man, it's not my fault that you for some reason think that "Of course it is obnoxious to the people disagreeing, it always is." is equivalent to "Of course it is obnoxious to the people disagreeing, and definitely no other people, only those that disagree with it, no one else, it always is.", if you missed the 10 minutes in the library where you were meant to learn to read because of a protest movement though, I can understand that.

How exactly does pissing off students trying to study help their movement? If anything, it just alienates people.
That's really what people have said about every protest movement though. Basically it gets reported and people hear about it and are exposed to the idea.

And then all people hear about is the BLM people harassing students trying to study, when there's any number of ways they can let their voice be heard without seeming like a bunch of punks.

BLM gets a negative spin no matter what it does. A largely peaceful protest gets spun as some awful racist hate/terrorist attack. It's really just par for the course, but like I and others have said before, this was a) benign and b) it did get attention...
