Has for "some level immaturity, gross ignorance and an inability to calmly weight the pros and cons " well we havee been discussing the same thing for quite some time and though none of us can either provr 1matrix or 2matrix the fact is that in 2 movies of 3 you only see one.
Of course they can't (predict). They know they can't (predict). If they could they wouldn't be in the whole "choice" pickle. However, they have (or HAD rather) a program that has become very good at manipulating humans (The Orcale). Remember, the meeting between Neo and the Oracle for the first time. "...what will really "bake your noodle" is would you still have broken it (the vase) if I hadn't said anything!". Remember the cake of the Merovigian (I know that's a wrong spelling 🙂 ). He used it to "control" the woman. The machines can't predict but some of them have become very good at controlling. However, The Oracle is now a renegade program. She now "believes" in the eventual triumph of the one. She's not part of the system anymore (...or is she 🙂 ).
UUuumm,...I am not pointing fingers about the whole immaturity thing,...Kes. 😄 I have never said throughout my correspondence that Zion MUst be an illusion! 🙂 I just find it really amusing that sometimes we get so passionate about all this.

Geez, this circular arguing is STILL going on... please, people, this is still becoming endless repetition.In-Cite, you just stated the same things all over again when I asked people not to; please don;t do that.
I promise not to restate what I have said. 😄 I apologise.

The oracle is not part of the matrix there for she doesn't have the rules all the other programs have.
As for the cake it had somesort of code that afected the womens emotions! Good cake though! lol 😄 Can I have a bite!

Kes,...have you ever wondered why everyone else (apart from Neo) seems to know exactly what their part in the prophecy is after seeing the oracle?
I mean Morpheus Knew he was supposed to find the one. Trinity knew she was to fall in love with the one. However, Neo wasn't sure if he was the one after seeing the Oracle for the first time and the 2nd time he didn't know what he was to do when he gets to the source. 🙂 Then again this may be irrelevant. 😄
Tomkat> Being under watch in the pod doesn’t really do that much. Sleeping pod-humans have a tendency to stay there! 🙂
The Cypher/Trinity conversation in the beginning is being traced. The machines want Morpheus, as he has access codes to Zion. So they watch everyone, who Morpheus and/or his crew are in contact with. Get a pod-human to deliver the “terrorist” before he/she wakes up and you have a great way of getting at him.
In-Cite> You have 250.000 people in Zion. 1 % of that is still 2500 rejectors. Even if it’s just 1% of 1 % you then have 25. We still don’t see anyone who’re the least bit troubled by the reality of Zion. It’s a programming flaw, not a conscious or subconscious choice, there will simply BE, by programming default, a percentage of the population who WILL reject the program. Neo unknowingly being part of an illusion, still does not explain the absence of Zion disbeliveers in reality.
And actually, Ushgarak has made a point, that more than anything goes in favour of Zion being real. Namely Smith wanting the access codes for Zion. If the city was part of the Matrix, why bother?
And I’m all against any metaphysics in the Matrix. I also thought there had to be a second Matrix (Zion), until I got an explanation from Enter the Matrix, that would explain why Neo could stop the sentinels, without resorting to anti-Ockham explanations.
And a copy of Neos digital self in the Matrix does not require metaphysics. We know the programs can copy themselves. An avatar in VR is nothing but a neat program. Usually, if the plug is pulled and the avatar is not disconnecting, the avatar will collapse. But suppose there were two Neo avatars. One returned disconnected while the other remained behind in the machine main-frame. All you need is “belief” in wireless technology on a biochemical scale to make it work 😄
false-becase in th ereal matrix you have a choice, those that dont acept it get freed, but they are moved into a matrix that they accept, the reason i think this is because its a safty catch for th emachines, alsoth earcitect didnt want neo to go back to how it was, but to a new way. neo then gained insight into the 'real' world, and belived that he could stop the sentinal, which he did because he belived it. also people will say then where are th eagents, the agents would be the sentinals,
