She may very well be experienced and had her memory erased. However, all we can go by is your direct canon language, which says she has no experience with a saber. She didn't even know what one looked like or how to ignite it. No matter how emotional distraught he was, he shouldn't lose to a complete noob with a weapon he's trained his whole life with.

God damn you're dumb. It's HARDER to freeze a shot you didn't see coming AFTER it was fired. That would take much more speed and reflexes to accomplish... than simply freezing an opponent you're looking directly at. This is why nobody takes you seriously around here, and literally laughs at outdebating you in every thread. Here somebody does something harder than what is needed in this thread.. and you'll go... well he didn't do that easier thing only the harder thing.. So I'll just go ahead and be a clown and say he can't do the easy thing. It's atrocious logic. If he can do something that is more difficult, he can certainly do the easier task.

He froze Poe as soon as he became aware of him. He didn't realize Chewie was there until AFTER he was hit so that means nothing here. Again him choosing to do differently with Rey has no bearing on what he did do earlier.
