I suggest you to contact DC writers and ask them about this.

I don't have to accept routine tasks or fast travel speed as a proof that Superman can fight at super-speed when he is outclassed by street-levelers like Shadowdragon.

Also for me travel speed is if you're doing nothing but flying in a straight line. For instance Superman has saved Lois Lane from a sniper bullet...he heard the bullet, reacted and flew to where she was to stop it. But he also had time to go and get ear plugs and put them in her ears(I forget why, maybe the gunshot was loud?). When you have time to do shit like that..it's more then travel speed. You're performing tasks at super speed.

For what it's worth this feat happened during the time he had his fortress in the Amazon.

The point is that Superman don't have the ability to deal with dozens of attacks per second nor to throw the same amount.

The combat speed in comics is overrated for most characters having super-speed as most of the time that only translate to moving fast.

Also when he fights Doomsday for the third time you see him using speed to punch him from all sides. How is that travel speed? I do not know the issue, but it is the same issue where he vibrates through some kind of energy attack Doomsday launched at him.

No need to, specially since you pick and choose statements and what is and what is not traveling speed vs combat speed.
