I don't think you quite understand just how much Hoover knew. It wasn't just politicians. It was everyone: military generals, supreme court justices, movie stars, prominent scientists, high ranking religious leaders, philanthropists, business tycoons, etc.

I was once again listening to the radio and they played an audio clip from Obama from yesterday or a few days ago. He is talking about Trump, he starts off saying how Trump just pals around with rich people. Then he asks the crowd if they think Donald Trump hangs out with working class people.
