That a very loose interpretation of events.Spoiler:
The similarities pretty much end after the fact that shields have to be taken down and there is a space battle. Calling it a "complete rehash" is laughable. And when do two ISD collide in RotJ? Do you mean when the Executor crashes into the DSII? Because that's entirely different from anything in RO.
It's just as different from the ROTJ battle as the TFA battle was from ANH. The concepts are the same.
Mind you, I don't mind it so much. But if people are saying TFA is such a copy and RO is so original (despite the endless list of cameo's callbacks (even worse than TFA) and similar scenes), then they use double standards.
I'll say it again:
1. RO has quite lousy characters and a very, very boring, dull first hour that drags and drags
2. The film makers should start taking the SW universe seriously and go way beyond callbacks and referencing the previous films. Come up with something original, for a change. They're making the SW universe so small...
I hate to say it, because I will always love SW but geofiction wise SW is still a faint shadow compared to the much more in depth works of geofiction like Dune and Middle Earth.
