I saw GOTG2 not long before this film, but it was just average, despite being a step down from the first one. WW thankfully gave me that breath of fresh air needed; a DC hero who nobley saves lives rather than getting more people killed than they save or wanting to kill another hero for hypocritical reasons.

I thought Guardians 2 was trash.
Say it again and I'll break all of your limbs irl. And get you permabanned as a bonus.

No, it's not some shitty anti-dc agenda. I simply didn't enjoy the movie. Heck, it was worse than Assassin's Creed or latest Underworld. A real piece of trash.

Caught it on Saturday. This had some serious bad going against it. The villains were well, shit. From bitter woman cos scar-on-face to german officer you'll-think-I'm-Ares-but-I'm-not-Ares, to Ares himself, who was so miscast. Good actor; wrong role.
The CGI was inconsistent, at times it looked like the scene wasn't finished.
Amazons with their constant need to do a triple-back-flip before attacking got old quick.
Chris Pines single dimensional sidekicks were all proper shit.
The good, Gadot was a decent WW and she carried her weight for the most part. She looked the role perfectly; like Hemsworth to Thor, Downey to Stark/IM or Evans to Captain A. Pine was decent, overall a good cast/role. Plot wise, the first 3rd of the film was good, second was okay, but the final stretch and end fight were just meh to really meh.
Overall, make a sequel, this has potential to be so much more.

I agree with all of this. Ares really was shit. Fortunately the good outweighed the bad.
I actually really liked the ending with her
Spoiler:
getting a huge power amp giving into hate, but then becoming even mor powerful giving into Love
Just liked the way they did that.
Although
Spoiler:So that final bit could have been scripted much better on his side.
Ares lines at the and just got really tacky/cartoonish.

Might just leg it to $400 million but the competition in July is going to pick up hard.Baby Driver, Spider-man, Apes 3 and Dunkirk are all getting raves which is good.
$400 million would be a huge achievement.
Wonder Woman 2 will be massive.
I actually thought WW would do the LEAST domestically. Now, it has become the leggiest super hero film of all time. Damn.
