Yes, it is for some. But not all. I've seen straight males and females become homosexuals with no visible or noticeable traits or features prior to them becoming homosexuals. Society also affects a person's mental conditioning. Like, if you hang around with gays for a prolonged period of time, there is a high chance you become one of them. I've seen it happen personally, so I can attest that as a fact.

Oh Christ that is a ridiculous mentality!
I ran & operated a business for 20 years in what's considered Sydney's gay capital. I employed over a dozen straight males & females that worked alongside me. None of us every turned gay or lesbian by working amongst them.
When I said 'personally', I meant 'to me.' I was a straight male before I started hanging out with homosexual males. It never occurred to me that I would become one of them. It was a slow and gradual process that took years and years to fruition. I can honestly say, at least to myself, that I wouldn't be gay if I spent more time with straight males and females.

Ok. I honestly didn't realise you were talking about yourself when you said you saw it "personally happen."
Good on ya!
I've only been curious once but I never followed through.
One of my best friends was gay & he said he always liked hanging out w/me (a straight guy) because there was never any tension or expectations for something to happen.

I guess casual protected heterosexual sex without the intention of offspring is a degenerate act as well. Xyz uses seriously flawed logic. If anything people shouldn't reproduce as often as they do. The population isn't hurting for offspring to continue the species.
Not that that's endofthealphabet's point, but if you go by the anus it could be seen as Degeneration X
A treatment can be both cosmetic and medical.
For example, gastric bypass surgery is a cosmetic weight loss procedure that is also an approved medical treatment for obesity.
Likewise, sex reassignment surgery is a cosmetic procedure that is also an approved medical treatment for gender dysphoria.
Both conditions have underlying physical and psychological causes, so there is no reason to treat one medically but not the other.
While post-surgical satisfaction is high for both procedures, there will always be some patients who remain unhappy.
Typically, these patients have unrealistic expectations, and believe that surgery will be a magic bullet that makes their lives better.
When the other areas of their life fail to improve, they become disillusioned with the process, and blame the surgery for not delivering the happiness they thought it would.
That does not mean that it is not a worthwhile treatment option for most people with that particular condition.

The idea that people can be turned gay by contact with gay people is classic homophobic propaganda because then it makes homosexuality something like a communicable disease.

And this simple mentality defeats the entire biology vs enviroment discussion.

The rest is history.
Those crafty gays and their converting tricks I tell you.

Yeah totally, except simple is as simple does and no need to tell your life story.
Enviroment vs biology, summed up.
Interesting enough homosexuality—i.e. only being attracted to people of the same gender—as a genetic trait is contradictory to evolution. Minor homosexual tendencies could be genetically carried, but they would still be undesirable traits.
Personally I think homosexuality is developed as a fetish. It's the only explanation that makes sense.

If a person isn't gay then no amount of penis in bum play is going to make himself actually feel like he's gay. He might be confused as hell and would come off as gay to the rest of the world, but he himself might not actually think he's gay. It's like having sex with a bunch of fat girls but knowing deep down inside that "... shit, not again" feeling is there. You're going to do it, but you don't approve of what you're doing.
Asbestos however actually knows that he likes penis without having to go through hoops to get there. He is freely admitting he likes the cock. He is gay. He always was. It just took some peer pressure to get him to where he would be happy.
You could argue "learn to love", but the retort to that is:
If you yourself as in Snowdragon were forced to live in a household full of queers that thought you were a cutie patooty and you never left the house in let's say... 5 years, do you think you would come out after those five years as a full fledged homosexual? Could you see yourself turning into the gay?
