Didn't love the first episode. Lot of cheesy overly snappy dialogue and it felt too fan fictiony.

Constant quips worked for the MCU, so now everyone is doing it.

Shut your whore lips before I smack your mouth.

Honestly its a 6 episode season, and though I enjoyed the interactions, literally nothing happened in Episode 1.

Thats Five left.

The show is now less "Game of Thrones" and more "Game of 'gotta kill us some zombie f*cks'"

Pretty much, yeah.

That could also have just been because of Daenerys though. As was mentioned earlier, a few others rode with her on one of her dragons when they escaped the Night King last time. Around the 6:50 mark.

Either way, given what we knew about their relationship (which they didn't at the time), it added extra humour to that glare. At least for me.

Just goes to show that the zombie genre is really ever gone.

The first episode of every season is set up and meets, and politics. Rather get the reunions out the way fast so they can get into the good stuff in episode 3 and on.

^ I know just thought with only 6episodes for the entire series, that this one should probably pick up faster.

I took it at face value, the dragons are home in the warmer regions, the Northern winter doesn't sit well with them and this will be a factor in the coming fight.

Interesting theory though, no idea who it would be, I doubt Arya

George Lucas directed a scene of the season opener. Apparently one from the beginning when people are arriving.

Well, there was the reveal that we all saw coming.

"Would she make the same sacrifice" is a good line, and perhaps some forshadowing.

Yeah, if taken at face value, could simply be a plot reason for the writers to balance out the 1 vs 2 dragon thing in the coming conflict. Say her dragons aren't quite feeling at their best in the colder climate, whereas a zombie dragon would probably be right at home.

Would be hard to pinpoint who would poison them. Sansa clearly doens't care for the whole arrangement, but I highly doubt she'd try and eliminate two such valuable assets in the coming war, especially considering her home and people are on the line.

But then maybe it was Bran. Maybe he's been wheeling around behind people's backs. Who would suspect him? Honestly, out of everyone, I would actually say he is one of the most likely, if it was actually a case of poisoning. He seems like the kind of guy who'd kill her dragons himself before risking them also landing in the Night King's hands.
