I was ambivalent about the preimere. On one hand, I love the new rapid pacing in regards to imminent plot points. Just like Jon Snow's resurrection, the show wastes zero time getting to narrative developments. I thought we would have to wait to see Jon's realization of his lineage, the Greyjoy rescue, and Sam's reaction to his family's deaths, but instead we got it all in the premiere, which is awesome. I enjoy the build-up to the upcoming conflict between Jon and Dany about the sovereignty of the 7 Kingdoms, and I hope it leads to a tense standoff between the two. I'm looking forward to seeing Bronn's confrontation with Jaime and Tyrion, and whether he will attack them or join them. I hope that next episode, we finally get to see the vindication of Jaime, as Dany will finally learn that her dad tried to nuke Kings Landing.

As far as my complaints, while the writing is wonderfully efficient, it is also somewhat contrived and predictable. The political intrigue that gave The show its namesake is now all but gone. With the exception of the Dany/Jon conflict, the shows characters have all fallen into the bland categories of good vs evil, and unlike the Blackwater battle, there is no complexity between the opposing sides. Because there is no more political intrigue, Tyrion, Davos, and Varys all essentially useless to the story now, and Tyrion's only plotline now is his idiotic belief of Cersei's pregnancy. Also, as stated, the dialogue has become noticeably filled with quips and oneliners, which threatens the shows already unstable believability.

Bran eye f*cks the shit out of every single person he comes into contact with in the episode.

This is what I wanna see Jaime do to Bran:

😂 He's like some crazy Nam vet now. Giving it the 1000 yard stare. He's definitely becoming the night king

Bran's autistic; that's what Jamie's attempted murder lead to

Jeez Bran is strange.. Stop staring at everyone!

Did he sit outside all night waiting on Jaime? Maybe he fancies him. Not that'll he get much pleasure even being fisted by his golden hand.

That seemed to be implied. which is just odd, as Bran foresaw Jamie's entrance into Winterfell via his three-eyed-crow powers, he would have known exactly when and could have rolled himself out shortly before.

Great episode. Watching her lurk when all the heavy players roll in was awesome. The ending worked too. This has been set up for years this reunion. Best tv show of all time.

I think I he just goes where he needs to be and waits for people to come to him at the right time. He doesn't really seem to need food or sleep anymore and what could interest the guy who can see and apparently manipulate the past and future?

He was right where Sam showed up twice I believe to get him to tell AeJon Starkgaryan about his lineage. And he was there when Jon needed to see a friendly face he knew wouldn't judge him and had his back like the b*tch with the red hair.

Next 5 episodes have been leaked. It's 5 hours of Bran and Drogon having a staring competition.

so the part about the dragons not eating...grey rat conspiracy?

Think that's them setting up the excuses for them both getting their asses kicked by undead Viserion and the night king.

Surely it's common knowledge that only Targaryens can ride dragons.
Is that stated in the show? Honestly don't know. I know it isn't true in the book's setting, but it would not surprise me at all if the show made it explicit that only those with the blood of Valyria could tame dragons.

Who in the books was a dragonrider and didn't have Valyrian blood?

Didnt all those people that got recused ride a dragon at the end of season 7?
The Hound , Jorah, etc

They were dragon passengers.

Can't wait for the Night King to face off against the Iron Bank cuz money is the real power of Westeros.

When you realise you've been

Spoiler:
banging a family member
:

^ Lol, surprising thing is banging a family member didn't even come up as an issue in that conversation.

When you think about it, incest is the driving force behind this series. Bran's fall changed everything and it happened cuz he stumbled upon incest.
