Game of Thrones

Me, a fantasy fan who doesn't watch GOT trying to be supportive of GOT fans:

Last week:
Fans: They KILLED the DRAGONS!
Me: Ah great, you must be very happy?
Fans: AAAARGGGHH! All of them must die! They must all BURN!

This week:
Fans: All of them DIED! Everything has BURNED!
Me: Ah great, you must be very happy?
Fans: AAAARRGGHH!

Me 🤨

A lot of the complaints have to do with execution. One week, a dragon is getting sniped from like a mile away, from behind a rock, with pinpoint accuracy. Next week, they can barely get two shots off between dozens of the same weapons before they are all torched. It's almost CW-level.

Thankfully I can laugh about this.

What an awful show

Show's going to end with Dany ascending as the new Sith Empress of the Seven Kingdoms with everyone bending the knee to her iron will and then from the shadows Bronn appears with his trusty crossbow, puts a bolt between Dany's t!ts, nods to Tyrion and whispers "there's no cure for being a c*nt" as he slowly fades back into the shadows and the screen darkens.

This guy gets it:

Meh, it was a lucky shot. But how often do we see this kind of thing with people missing the "good guys" when firing with machine guns? It's a trope, but in this case a little more forgivable. And maybe Dany and the dragon learned to zig-zag and thus become a more difficult target.

Episode 5 was great. I blame Jon Sno for not giving Dany some love. She needed someone to be there for her and didn't have anyone, so she started raging. I'll be surprised if there's never any SJW backlash with this because they're playing directly into the cliche of women not being fit for leadership because they're too controlled by their emotions. I mean, that's exactly what's happening here. Cercei only does things for her children and Dany rages because she feels lonely.

This whole season seems poorly thought out and very rushed! Much like your outfits! diva

Yeah, honestly just seems the showrunners have lost interest and are just phoning it in. The writing doesn't come off as just incompetent but also like they just don't really care anymore and want it done.

Get back under my desk.

Man this show has nose dived worse than two dead dragons.

Hm.. I'm not understanding all the hate.

SO much hate.. why don't you all just destroy a city with dragon fire?

The show is ending and obviously not in a way some people have wanted. Hating on it is their way of coping.

But why did bells ringing signify the walls closing in on her? There's zero explanation given for why THAT was the specific trigger and not anything else.

No idea, perhaps there is no particular reason. Maybe she realized that even though she took the city, it’s never going to be truly hers and it triggered Targ madness.

Having all the main characters die in the end and no one sitting on the iron throne is the predictable generic Game of Thrones ending that everybody expected.
I thought they might mix it up a bit but I guess not. It's the same old same old. Which is fine.
I don't mind the same old Game of Thrones edgy schtick, as long as it is written in a decent way. But this season has been written like garbage that makes little sense. That is the issue.

Who the hell was predicting that everyone would die and that their would be no one sitting on the throne? The most common theories I saw had Jon or Dany winning it. And there is almost no chance that all the main characters will die now.

Then those people haven't been paying attention with how Game of thrones has been written in the past seasons.
The writers even have said multiple times that don't expect a happy ending. At best it would be bittersweet.

Just because Jon or Dany wins doesn't mean it's a happy ending. Consider where the show is now, even if Jon does become king the ending certainly wouldn't be happy. Hell, I wouldn't even call it bittersweet.

From the leaks that we both have read

Spoiler:
Jon refusing the throne and going back to the nights watch to live with wildlings is dumb but something I would expect to be true with how this season is going.

They did film multiple endings, so the current leaked one could be fake, But at this point I doubt it.

You've been duped. This is not a shot from the final version of the episode. It's a shot released that has not been edited to have his hand in it.

Well based on the leaks

Spoiler:
Bran gets the Iron Throne. So at least some one wins. But it's still pretty stupid if you ask me. I'm hoping it's false.
