Again people here are failing to understand basic character assassination.

I don’t care Dany went mad. What I care about is her going mad in one episode. Nothing Dany did in the previous 7 seasons shows her to be mad. Yet you have people here claiming she’s was mad since season 1, and uses her father as a talking point.

These same individuals also failed to understand, it took Aerys 20 years to become the mad king. They also forget that Aerys was also tortured for months before being rescued by Barristan the bold.

D&D wanted to go make Disney/Star Wars Money.. Screw this little TV Show.

Couldn't one argue that Dany, for years and years, has been convincing herself she has this destiny to rule and then finding out Jon is a Targaryen breaks her and then her best friend getting beheaded also breaks her?

Can be counterargued Dany could've went straight to Cersei after her forces surrendered instead.

You're gonna ruin your kids celebrity/porn star career.

"Wait a minute. Game of Thrones ended 40 years ago, no way are you 26. Not with that name!"

Garbage finale. Worst pos episode of any tv show I’ve ever seen.

You do realize her grieving in the midst of combat was a dangerous recipe. Traumatic experiences and having the power of a dragon made it bad for Cersei. If you knew anything about human development you would realize the show did a great job laying the groundwork despite you hating it. Grow the **** up and accept the fact they dictate the film not some little keyboard crybaby known as squall.

Fiction really hurts you.

Davos should have been king. The Onion King.

And I can always counter with, it was never once proven she was showing any signs of madness.

Hell, Dany locked up her dragons, the only reason Drogon wasn’t locked up was because he flew away when Drogon killed a child. That’s not madness.

Like you said could have been true, but not showing it and turning into a foil in 1 episode is both character assassination and bad writing.

You just prove my point. You have no idea what good storytelling and character developments are.

Here’s a good one. Imagine Thanos suddenly becoming good for no other reason just to become good in the span of 30 minutes on screens. No explanations giving.

Is that good storytelling? Is that good characterizations of a character that being the big bad for 10 years?

He is a MCU ShillCuck so He will say yes no matter what.

I actually laugh out loud when they said that shit.

Bran’s story was so good, he was absent for a whole season.

@SquallX, you only have to go back on this thread to see that people called Dany's madness years ago but the writers failed to execute it correctly. She did nothing really mad in season 1 because she had no power or dragons, also the first time she appears on camera she walks into a scalding bath, she also tried self-immolation after Drogo died along with those dragon eggs Illyrio gave her. Not exactly a secure mindset it would appear.

Name me those instances then.

Because ever since she could think for herself, she knew fire would never hurt her. It goes with the whole blood of the dragon motiff D&D we’re aiming for.

She wasn’t trying self immolation. You forget one important fact about the dragons, some have poetic dreams. Dany knew going into the fire with her dragon eggs would cause her no harm, that’s why she did it. That’s not madness. That’s her knowing of the magic in her blood.

Daenerys committed the same amount as most of the main characters.
