Originally posted by RobtardHorrible shit happens to every character in game of thrones and sure I felt bad for the kid and understood why he's irrationally antiwildlings, but that doesn't erase the moments of absolute hatred when he kills two of the best characters in the show imo. It's just hatred by association I think. And also saying sansa got her father killed is incredibly simplistic thinking, there were dozens of alternate paths Ned could've taken that would've avoided his head being chopped off.
If you can't sympathize for a child who watched his family butchered and the mindset that child would be in, then that's really your short coming, not the character's.Sansa's was a complete fool early on, to the point of being unlikeable, she's grown and become a much better character now and people can (I can at least) sympathize with her. She's no longer the "I want, I want!" whiny POS that got her father killed and started a war due to being an imbecile.
^ btw I'm not saying those moments of hatred for olie are bad, they're sort of joffrey esque fun. The ygritte death scene was incredibly cinematic and Jon Snow's death was unexpected. And for both of those ollie is the perfect character because he has a legitimite motivation that's hard to argue against. I still hate the character and think he's a backstabbing ****, but in a sort of intersting way
Ygritte died during a battle where she was an enemy to the Night's Watch and from Olly's point-of-view, he was directly saving Jon, so really don't understand how you can hate Olly here. Even Jon understood Olly's actions.
As far as Jon's death, still don't see how you can hold Olly as the center of your hatred when it was ultimately Thorne and crew who did it, Olly was used, though he was happy to go along with it due to noted circumstances. But if he hadn't gone along, it's not like they would have given up on killing Jon, Olly wasn't the fulcrum in Jon's death; he just made it a bit easier.
Thorne's (and crew) the POS here, he's the adult, he can reason out why Jon's actions with the Wildlings were sound and for the greater good of all.
shit. nevermind.

Got accidentally deleted when we were doing some spam/sock/porn cleanup, and we can't restore threads that have been permanently deleted. I won't name the mod, but it rhymes with Schmadabing.biscuits
the one for book readers is still active.

Re: Olly.
Assisting in the assassination of Jon Snow after all Jon did for him makes him a traitor any way you slice it.

Oh wait you're right, I forgot that in Game of Thrones the person who wins is whoever the narrative favors, since the show's writing is so bad.Though really, that just proves my point. Ramsay is powered by the full strength of D&D's pen, he's going to kill them all with 40 great men.

Ramsay will die by the end of this season guaranteed

I think Roose's warning to Ramsay that he'll be treated as a wild dog if he acts like a wild dog was foreshadowing his eventual downfall. Ramsay is just going to keep doing crazy shit until even that Karstark mother****er can't side with him anymore.
