Spider-Man was nothing. Completely unnecessary. NOBODY in the audience wanted to see him.

Well yah, there is no denying that The First Avenger had one of the best after credit scenes of all time. Up there with Iron Man 1 and Avengers' Thanos reveal.

👆

I also liked the one at the end of Iron Man 2 (Thor's hammer).

Well I liked it. Like I said before. They did a good job with the huge task of bringing an old fashioned hero with a silly uniform and ideals to the big screen and make him respectable and believable. Without resorting to the usual dark and grim nonsense of making his uniform black and making Cap have an edgy serious persona.

Like I said I enjoyed it. Dont know why people didn't like it or what parts bothered them. I mean it wasnt as good as WS or CW but it was better than TDKR by a lot in my book.

I think it didn't stand up too well on its own, but works much better now as the opening chapter of the Cap story.

I HOPE SO...

I'm just saying what happened.

Holland was fine for me and I hope he'll rock in Homecoming. Stats were shown fine. Aunt is hot. He just needs more substance, less stupid humour.

Liked Antman more, but SM definitely did his part. I feel CW would do extremely well without him, though.

My friend, a big Spider-fan, had no idea he even was in CW (told you guys, ppl have no idea). Now he's going to see CW, otherwise he wouldn't have bothered.

That's what I've been saying! They hardly marketed him at all.

This movie would have easily opened to $200mill+ if they had marketed that more IMO.

There again it must have been nice for people who had no idea to be surprised like that. Perhaps that's what they were going for.

Concerning Spider-Man not being marketed that much, wasn't filming for Civil War already in progress by the time the deal with Sony late 2014.

Might've just been a time issue considering Spiderman was all over tv spots after the second trailer's debut...at least from what I've seen.

Dude, 😆 that's what Spider-man is! He cracks jokes all the time. I've seen the movie multiple times and he was a huge hit. The audience laughed at his jokes; especially the "Metal arm" line and the "That was awesome! 👆" parts.

Yes. But he's not Deadpool. Unlike Wade, he can be actually serious at times.

love both the Nolan trilogy and all 3 Cap's films.. I will definitely say that Cap's trilogy is the best superhero trilogy hands down

He does not have to be serious in this movie though.

I don't think it's a contender for best trilogy IMO. Especially just because I think the first film was just so weak. It wasn't BAD it was just..eh. Also Chris Evans looks f*cking ridiculous with whatever computer technique they used to put his head on some shrimps body.

I have a problem with the plot too. The guy who created Cap dies and they can't make anymore Cap's so they just kind of tell Cap to f*ck off. One super soldier is better then none, why the hell wouldn't you try to make use of him for things other then selling war bonds? Imagine how much it must of cost to transform Steve into Cap and they just go "meh, a super powered being probably wouldn't help us win this war or even help us win any battles".

They don't even seem to really be concerned with seeing JUST what he is capable of.

IMO the Nolan trilogy takes it slightly.

**** no. None of those films compare to the rewatchability of WS or CW.

What makes you think so ?

I guess I'll just have to agree to disagree with some folks on this issue. Sure TDKR was a letdown but TFA as a film was really 'meh'.

But of all of these films nothing will top the Cap vs WS highway fight IMO.

I'd say Cap trilogy takes it, but is it really a fair comparison given that Civil War was not only Cap 3, but also IM 4 and Avengers 2.5 in one?

Put it this way, Civil War is an Amazing end to the Cap trilogy. Spectacular Marvel event film and Possibly my favorite comic book movie of all time. But it doesn't work Just as Cap3. I mean I'm not sure how entertaining it would be for someone who only watched the Cap films, but none of the Iron Man or Avengers films. Because it was what all those Marvel films had built up to.

Nolan Trilogy takes it. When a Cap movie wins an Oscar then we can compare again

No one cares about Oscars.
