Captain Marvel, whether you hate Larson, Disney or Rotton Tomatoes or not, needs to be judged on its own merits. That's the only fair way, imo.

I think you've shifted a little more right in the last 14 years and I've shifted a little more left. My politics tend to encompass my version of what's basically "reasonable". I'm okay with a reasonable amount of almost anything that benefits people at large, so if that puts me on the right, then that's what I am, I guess. I don't pay as much attention to that kind of thing anymore.

I've been reading it. I haven't liked it as much as I was hoping to. It is nice to see him less Magneto-like, though, at least.

But yeah, I can't say I've seen much of Larson that's endeared me to her. That said, people like Chris Pratt and RDJ have their moments, so it would be hypocritical of me to hold it against her and not them when it comes to their movie roles. I try to separate the people from the characters as much as I can.

Yeah, it's a good way to put it, less mag eto-like, the angry mutant cyclops got old.

RDJ has always had his moments, don't know much about Pratt, probably not good to know too much about any of them, I suspect when you get that much adulation it ****s people right up too often.

Personally if I was looking forward to seeing this movie and was planning to see it the day it came out I would not stop myself from going due to her comments.

However, I can understand the backlash. Especially in a culture where people are quite willing to protest against a movie or tv show because of something one of the actors said or did.

This isn't shocking, especially given how critics treated The Last Jedi. It is shocking to hear one of them admit this out loud though.

It took literally a minute to find out that it wasn't "reviews" that were deleted. It was audience anticipation comments from prior to release that automatically move into the "reviews" count after the release date and that it removed all of them, good and bad.

You're half right, they did also get rid of audience participation stuff. But no that isn't what I meant. Watch the video.

Don't worry I'm sure they'll blame it on trolls or on a "bug" or something colorful like that.

Nope, she's not uber powerful and things don't always tend to go her way. If she killed him it would most likely be the finishing blow using an advanced weapon after he's been weakened.

She'd be a Mary Sue if she defeated him with hand to hand combat.
