You don't have to like Black Panther, but you do have to think it's better than Captain Marvel. 👆

Or a resurrected Gamora will do it.
Quite Possible. After the Hulk gets his licks in, that has to happen.

I just saw this.

Definitely better than Black Panther.

Thats not saying much cause both are medicore...

Gonna be honest: If the fanboy that I am gets to see Cap lift the hammer and/or give Thanos THAT speech, and Hulk return to form (I'd have Thanos kill Widow to set him off, personally), I'm going to end up not really giving a shit about a lot of the rest of the movie.

again, perhaps I'm wrong on your politics too.

Yeah, it's a good way to put it, less mag eto-like, the angry mutant cyclops got old.

RDJ has always had his moments, don't know much about Pratt, probably not good to know too much about any of them, I suspect when you get that much adulation it ****s people right up too often.

Yeah, fame can straight up ruin some people. Or bring out the worst aspects of their personality for the world to see. Look at all the shit going on in Hollywood right now.

I like Chris Pratt, he seems pretty chill.

Black Panther like Avatar is one of those movies that received such high acclaim when it came out, fast forward to now, and everyone is practically shitting on it lol

Agreed, they must give Hulk his mojo back, Cap must give the speach, re the Hammer it's already been said others can lift Stormbreaker, I only saw this a few weeks back but it seems so.

Look at Hollywood always 😂 Clive Barker did a great story called Cold Heart Canyon where a character loosely based on Mickey Rourke has plastic surgery that goes wrong and moves in to a house once owned by a silver screen femme fatale, it's a bit like the shining with kinky ghost parties, well worth a read. All of the stories in it were loosely based on old Hollywood rumours.

Apparently there was this thing about Chris Pratt being anti-gay, but he denied that rumour completely

Also the way Fury lost his eye is the stupidest shit ever...

I do agree on that and his reaction afterwards, that for me was just silly... yeah, i know all superhero films are silly, but you know.

I want to see Hulk get his due in EG just watch the fireworks between the Hulk and Thor fans.

Yeah little babies cried cuz of the church he belonged to.

From what I've gathered this movie seems to separate Captain Marvel from the worst aspects of her current comic book counterpart. I guess it has that going for it.

The promotion/marketing for this movie was still terrible IMO. It's probably even worse than Antman's in that regard.

Well Antman didn't have it's lead talking shit about white males...

So something I want to know...

Where the **** did the feminist talking point about telling women to smile come from?

Like I get talking about sexual harassment, or "women are too weak" or "women are too emotional or irrational" I've seen or heard of actual examples of sexism like that.

But I have never once in my life ever ever witnessed some sexist dude aggressively telling a woman to smile for them.

Like feminists bring this up, it was in Captain Marvel, it was in the Gillette commercial, but I've never seen it or even heard about it until modern feminists kept talking about it.

I'm just glad attractive blondes in skintight outfits finally have representation.

Also I heard the way Nick Fury loses his eye is cringey as f*ck.

Someone spoil me: how's this motherf*cker lose his eye?

Spoiler:
An alien disguised as a cat scratches his eye. Both we and Fury know at the time it's an alien, but it's still portrayed as a relatively benign scratch, even if a nearby Skrull makes some cryptic reaction to it.

It's bollocks.

If only that was true. Though I suppose I'm in the minority, as neither she nor her costume do anything for me.

I've seen it a few times irl tbh. Not as often as other sexist things mind you, but still.

Who'd have thought a ****ed up system that allowed those in power to abuse those below them would turn out so many mentally damaged performers...

*facepalms at the way Fury lost his eye*

Also, there is one movie where Brie gets naked. She has a decent ass. Overall her body isn't bad, it's just that pesky personality.

Great movie!!! Overpassed my expectations (really, I thought it would disappoint).

It had the perfect combination of comedy and action.
