He was also part of a collective(Mighty Avengers) that ultimately resisted a massively powered version of the same villain. Actually the villain had merged with his team into one being and further amped their individual powers into one collective like BM's. On panel this being had subdued the minds in NY, Shield(Hellicarier), and Avengers(Cap, Thor, IM, Widow).

So basically he does have resistance/willpower showings.
Now is that enough to fight off J'onn? I say he requires more feats, but this is a team battle. Things are fluid and chaotic making things a little harder to call. The chaos might also mask this supposed weakness of his if it can really be considered one.

Superman never had to be depowered or weakened to be put in a fight against Diana Pre-Flashpoint. The Circe fight Superman was weakened, The Solar man fight you bring up wasn't 100%, The Darseid War fight Superman had no control over his powers.

And all of this is supposed to prove what exactly?

Writers generally didn't make excuses in regards to Superman being weaker Pre-Flashpoint when they had him face off against Diana.

Again what's your point?

She took a punch from a guy I don't equate that to tanking a less powerful solar flare. Unless you think Superman's solar storage >> Superman's physicals.

Wonder Woman's arms are being held down that's what the scan shows don't be stupid.

I'm aware Hal hits her never suggested he didn'tm the difference is it doesn't do any of the same damage her hits have done to her, she doesn't bleed and she doesn't go flying. Theyre not comparable. If that was the case Superman wouldn't have felt the need to stop Diana rather then Hal.
