Fandom isn't quantifiable in mathematics. You can like however many you want and still be a fan. On a bit of a side note, I've seen this a lot more on the side that's been sharply critical of TLJ, it's not right if you enjoyed the ST films either.

I’m saying that if something gives you such grief and displeasure that you need to constantly shit on it, just find something else to be a fan of. I’ve heard some people passionately shitting on every single Star Wars movie who call themselves fans of the movies. Doesn’t make sense to me.

Okay, but you said people who like two out of nine movies are not "real fans." That's what I took issue with and that's what I think is ridiculous. Not every Star Wars fan loves all the movies. Hell, you could have a fan who prefers the EU, for example, and loves it (which is SW).

I don't see how the question is introspective. It came off as rhetorical and now you're coming off as weasel wording. You told people to find other movies after proclaiming that people who didn't like a large number of films weren't Star Wars fan. How does your latter statement not reinforce your former statement as being a declarative one?

Okay so if you think the new movies are shit, you hate the prequels and you thought Return of the Jedi was bad, maybe you’re not a real Star Wars fan? If you only like 2/9 Star Wars films, find something else.

This is the truth and all the butthurt people (myself included) net to STFU and suck it. Disney turned a profit after buying Star Wars in less than 4 years. PROFITABLE. That's the biggest most important fact that everyone needs to keep in mind. Whine all you want, Disney's success with the brand is so overwhelmingly high that we are stuck with whatever they want to do with Star Wars.

And we either have to just stop consuming it and find something else to love or learn how to love whatever shit Disney gives us.

Also, I think I want to write Star Wars. Now that I've seen what really sucks and what level of shit can actually be successful, pretty sure I can do better. 😐 No, I'm not kidding.
