The saddest thing for me is that I'm not sure I'll care that much whichever way they choose. I mean, a lot of the attachment I had to Star Wars just isn't there anymore.
I do hope they do a better job with the script and plotting in the next one though. That was my second biggest complaint about TLJ.

The director disagrees but you're impossible to discuss anything about Star Wars related. You deny obvious things because you're so biased. I told you Kylo was more evil than Vader you were late to the bus on that one. Kylo is conflicted just as Vader was but he is choosing evil.
Sidious was never a major character either just a villain. In the prequels we didn't get why Sidious was who he was because it wasn't necessary for the story and sometimes it's not needed. We hear certain things and see certain events but this trilogy follows the skywalkers and Ben is a member of that family so of course he gets more screen time as did Anakin. We also don't know how the trilogy ends but you disagree with the very director who agreed with my assessment because I grasp Star Wars and it's parallels. You simply don't. Johnson agrees with me and he directed the film not you, sport.

If it's what they are saying, and Snoke will return in Ep.9 and have us believe that his death was but a Force trick (Similar to that of Luke on the Old Rebel Base) then he would become important again.
If he is truly dead, then i agree completely with you.
