Nephthys, you have some amazingly shit taste if you thought that Marvel-tier humor was good.

Rian not following up on JJ's boring ass plot points (Spoiler:) or perhaps more accurately subverting those were perhaps the best parts of the film.
Snoke & Rey's parentageMy issue is the treatment of Luke which already started with JJ having him fail and then run off and hide for a decade. Rian could have handled Luke better (though honestly there was no real way to salvage the entire mess) but at least he created a very compelling story and arc for the character.
Like Rian, you thought this was clever, when in reality it was just stupid. Now IX is left without a proper villain since Kylo is a p*ssy and no one takes him seriously.
As for Luke, that's 100% on Rian. May I remind you that TFA's entire plot was the map Luke left behind so people could find him? He didn't go to the island to die in that version. He was looking for Jedi lore to use against Snoke. Mark Hamill himself said he disagreed with *everything* Johnson wrote about Luke.

Again there are tons of scenes in this film that put the PT/Rogue One/TFA to shame
Which scenes are those?
Spoiler:
Super Leia? Luke milking some alien's titties? Luke's attempted nepoticide? The Skype calls between Rey and Kylo? Snoke dying like a chump? Poe prank calling Hux? Or maybe just Luke dying like a *****?
I liked it, but I get where some of the gripes are coming from. Maybe I'm more mixed on it but loved the scenes others already praised... Also the crystal dogs or whatever.
Spoiler:
Kylo killing Snoke and Rey being a nobody I already had spoiled for me by accident, before the spoilers were posted here even, but the way it played out was still kind of a surprise for me.Even if Snoke hadn't been off'ed this early, I don't think he would've made the same kind of impact as Palpatine. Still kind of a waste though.
Expectations for episode 9 have been kinda lowered, though I'd love if it somehow eclipses ep 7 & 8 the way ep 3 did over 1 & 2, but with the different directors and conflicting visions, IDK.
Guess it's not gonna happen, but I'd like Kylo's mask to be put back on. Prefer the voice and presence he has with it over not having it... Suppose it's kinda why I like Captain Phasma, since you never see her without the helmet.

You're definitely someone who just complains to be contrarian. How boring.
Spoiler:
Kylo outsmarted his immensely powerful master and murdered him, took on the Praetorian guards with Rey, put Hux in his place, showed his enormous pecs (lol), etc.
I think Kylo could have lifted a planet with his pinky finger and you'd still be calling him a pussy.
just got back from seeing this back to back.. this is one of the best Star Wars movies that I have seen.. I have loed Star Wars since 1977... Excellent plot.. love the scenes with Rey and Luke.. Kylo was boss... Lovve how Rey's journey is shaping up..
liked how
Spoiler:
Leia used her force abilities
the cameos were easily spotted..
this is truly a 5 star 10/10 film..

the slave kid goes outside to sweep the stables, was it me or did he force-pull the broom in to his hand? I haven't seen anyone else mention it online.
Yes he did. It further shows
Spoiler:
anyone can be a Jedi.
Stupid scene to end the film on though. Felt really weird.
