Yeah, but you see, I LIKE those comics. I like Jane Foster Thor, Riri Williams Ironheart, etc. I think that people who hate those comics for "forcing diversity" are stupid and delusional, but I got lumped in with them anyway because I'm not drinking the kool aid that says I have to like every new Star Wars movie that comes out. I hated Force Awakens, I liked Rogue One, I hated this movie, and I will probably hate Episode IX. This sequel trilogy is completely empty to me. I'd rather just watch the OT or Guardians of the Galaxy again.

I get what you're saying.

I enjoyed both TFA and R1, but this... this was an abomination.

Yes, GotG 1-2 / OT >>>>>>>>>>>> tlj.

For me:

The Empire Strikes Back>A New Hope>Guardians of the Galaxy>Revenge of the Sith>Return of the Jedi>GOTG Volume 2>Rogue One>>>>>>>>>>Attack of the Clones>TFA/TLJ>>>The Phantom Menace

You hated TFA just as much as TLJ?

I was fine with that. Made perfect sense. Hated the theories that Rey was Luke's daughter and such.

I would have been fine with it, if they hadn't gone on and on and on about it in TFA. You don't spend that much time building up a plot element only to have it fizzle out.

So either they're idiots, or it'll be proven to be untrue in EP9 I think.

Hey, they trolled the crap out of us with Snoke, too...

EP9 can't fix everything, I'm not sure it can even restore the foundations.

Remember Korg in Ragnarok...?

The Last Jedi I actually like a bit more for being ballsy and being it's own movie, even if those choices were stupid and wrongheaded. The Force Awakens though is terrible for a laundry list of reasons. It was way too derivative of A New Hope, I found the characters uninvolving, I saw Han Solo's death coming a mile away and yet felt nothing when he actually died, there were too many pointless J.J Abrams mysteries that will never get solved or at best get only half answered, we know nothing about who the Resistance or the First Order are, and just as a very minor nitpick, I find it weird that in a super advanced society like in Star Wars, humans age as quickly as they do in the real world. You would think with their medical technology, they would live longer.

We shouldn't talk about Thor 3. I know I'm in the minority about it.

But yes, it was a funny line.

I've got a question,

Spoiler:
did anybody think they heard Jabba's laugh when they were talking to Maz via hologram?

Maz. Another character I don't give a shit about.

Ragnarok or TLJ, what would you rewatch? You have to pick one or Cyke GOML blasts you into oblivion 🙂

Ragnarok. As much as I dislike the tone of the movie, and I feel like the drama wasn't terribly well done, it's still more consistent, better written, and more cohesive than TLJ.

I've actually seen Ragnarok twice too, so the funny parts did hold up to repeated viewings.

TLJ? I could see myself skipping through it to the few parts I actually liked. Much like I do when I happen to watch the X-Men movies.

I was beyond disappointed with this film.

Just saw it a third time Lol

I think I like it now.

Thanks Neph for pointing out to me about the Books. That really wasn’t sitting well with me.

Took you three viewings to like it?

Sounds like you got brainwashed.

So was I. And many others.

Traumatizing experience.

Why did Luke leave a map for them to find him but when they do he's like F*CK OFF!!!

I think we should just stop asking questions.

My very soul got molested by Rian Johnson.

It took that many viewings for people to realize they didn’t like others such as Phantom Menace, so it goes both ways. So what if he liked TLJ? Much as some here may try to make it seem like it’s universally hated, it’s not.

I don’t deny the problems this film has, but there were still some things I liked about it and anyone who says all the prequels look like masterpieces now are still nutnobs imo, but they’re entitled to their opinion too.

The phantom menace was more entertaining
Come at me

If we're ranking SW movies, I'll do worst to first:

9. Attack of the Clones
8. Phantom Menace
7. The Last Jedi
6. Revenge of the Sith
5. Rogue One
4. The Force Awakens
3. A New Hope
2. Return of the Jedi
1. Empire Strikes Back
