I already knew WB had some ownership.

So you knew me and Golgo are actually blood brothers and that we were just playing good cop & bad cop, as a part of our marketing strategy?

...

Damn, juggs. Don't tell anyone.

I feel bad for all the suckers who showed up to spend their money on this fish movie 😂

The only reason to even consider seeing this is Amber Heard, imo.

Huge numbers already.
I've been doing some research on movies released on a Friday December 21st. And most of them make 20% or less of their total on opening weekend. So using that math Aquaman opening to about 70 million would mean this film should on the high side do 400 million.

Yea and I’ll watch it on HBO when it comes out.

Dumb movie.

Are you calling a movie dumb that you haven't seen?

Don't you think there are some retcons to the Justice League?

In JL, Aquaman was bitter about his mother abandon the family, in this one he learned that his mother

Spoiler:
was "killed" then he only hates Atlantis.

Still a great movie, I still think Jason Momoa fits Lobo much better though.

Quan find anywhere I said Aquaman would be terrible. You didn't tell me anything. I have never been on the DC is doomed train.I Iiked MOS and JL. WW was really good and so is AM. I doubt you will find me saying DC needed to reboot.
No one wise said this would be the best dceu film like I did. I never said you said it would suck but you did not have the instinct like I did to proclaim the best dceu film to date. I am ****ing NostraQuandus.

I agree on The Orville being good and RT is wrong. But the latest Dr Who season?!?...it has been good, Most of the haters from the audience side of things are mostly folks who don't like change.

I've never been a big Dr Who fan myself but, IMO, if someone enjoyed a show because it was a certain way, not liking changes that move it away from that is perfectly reasonable to me.

Like if the company that makes my favourite chocolate bar decides to change the flavour to something I dislike but a bunch of other people love, I am still going to be critical of it, even if other people might disagree. I am not just going to keep eating it because other people don't mind or even like the change. And if others do stick with it, that's their choice. Different strokes for different folks and all that.

Besides, the main point still stands. There are a number of significant discrepancies between fan and critic scores on that site, which makes their numbers rather suspect.

Most of the reviewers that I actually tend to trust had a similar experience to my own, regarding Aquaman. Found it silly, kind of over-the-top, but an amazing visual experience and a boatload of fun.

Quan how do you rank the DCEU films so far?

I am Kmcs King.

Aquaman
WW
JL
MOS
Batman v. Superman
SS

Pretty close to mine.

I love MoS' villain design and fight while hate some of the stupid plothole and Pa Kent's terrible characterization.

That and i bet there were alot of man child's Whinging about it being a female doctor.

I don't understand why Snyder had to give EVERY hero such serious personal issue, in the BEGINNING of the cinematic universe.

Glad they are starting to get rid of it.

I've seen minimal complaints about that, personally. Obviously, the people I know only make up a small minority of the fanbase, but they had issues with the shift in the manner the show chooses to address certain topics in specific episodes. I haven't watched enough of the show to be able to say how accurate that is though, so going to leave it there, as I don't want to veer too much off topic either.

What I liked about this film also was it wasn't a Justice League 1.5, or trying to set up a bunch of future plots for other heroes throughout the film etc. It was a proper solo film, which definitely worked in its favour IMO.

Half the forum agreed, but you have some strange obsession over me. You need help.

Yes this movie would have been > as a reboot. It had 1 pointless reference to JL and that was it. Could have EASILY been a reboot. All they had to do was replace Mamoa, and it would have been a fresh start for DC. Instead its just 1 step to begin repairing the previous stench.

Not that I mind, because if theres no reboot then it leaves the door open for Cavill Superman to return in a few years.

People used to claim Golgo worked for WB, I think Stilt works for Rotten Tomatoes.

Its great to have balance 👆

I know I only have to visit this thread to be up to date on the box office and RT rating 👆

As per your point I dont remember Golgo posting away when Venom had impressively equal numbers, but on a 29% RT score. Now THAT was a Juggernaut Critics could not stop. Aquaman so far is accomplishing what it is on a fresh score still.
