meh, that is speculation at best. i agree the vibranium may have been altered (only makes sense i guess) but to what degree, and to what degree did it dilute it's absorbing properties, well..... no one can really say.
Basically, yes that's what I am saying. The process should have diluted it to the point where it's clearly not very good at absorbing kinetic energy on its own. As we see when it fails to even completely absorb Cyclops optic blasts, and Captain America has to actually strain himself to push them. It's not any sort of nullification of kinetic energy, and what absorbing properties it does have seem nearly nonexistent without those aforementioned modifications. [/B]
ok, like i said, i can get behind that to a certain degree. it obviously doesn't completely absorb kinetic energy, but if it didn't at least partially do so from a defensive point, not sure how he could withstand blows like these:

maybe the strange way it affects kinetic energy just needs to be lumped in as an unexplained property.

Without chi amping, sure. With it, it's debatable. He's crushed handguns with a chi amped hand, ripped up steel doors, punched out about five robots where Luke Cage couldn't even dent one..
Plus, there's Spidey's performance against Davos. And even more damning, Danny's clean defeat of Black Tarantula.
Tarantula's been kind of understated lately, but I know a lot of posters here know just how uber he is.. The guy could give Gorgon a run for his money, with his feats.
He's ignored being riddled with bullets, been caught in an explosion and fought while on fire, and toyed with Spider-Man. Twice.
Danny beat THAT Tarantula.
