Well, it IS magic.

The shield absorbs Hulk punches, it's kind of foolish to say it has no absorptive properties. The magic aspect would explain why Claremont had Danny drive Cap backwards.. (Other writers had it bypass Speedballs kinetic shield, and even physically punch Nitro's fist in gas form..)

Any showings over other characters can't be used in comic books unless they can be justified outside of that. This is common sense when debating comic books. As practically anyone can tell you fights in them are ridiculous a lot of the time.

It clearly doesn't absorb the whole impact, and doesn't do what you describe it to in the scans you posted. Instead failing to fully absorb anything. The one scan leonidas posted that did show it you dismissed even.

Nope, it was explicitly crashing. It was falling after Daniel Rand hit it, and they escape on the helicopter before it does with Luke Cage in hand.
