You know the airline probably doesn't give a ****. Lbr here, it's knee jerk "what about the children" people that are responsible for this kind of shit, it's not airlines and it's certainly not feminists.

The airlines are the ones that are enforcing the policy.

Don't know if it's these "knee jerk what about the children people". Who are these people? Do they have a group like feminist do?

I didn't blame feminist for this practice.

I don't know, mothers against child abuse or something?

I would argue that this particular point does not apply to America. The extreme majority of both men and women in America would disagree that a woman should sexually submit to her boyfriend/male SO and disregard her own will on this matter.

I disagree. By submit though, I mean give it up. atleast among people my age its still a being a ***** if you hold out but after you break up its a can of worms for having sex with them.

FEMINISTS ARE FAT.

so's this dick

Naturally, to beat up the boyfriend...

YouTube video

Just found it interesting. Terry Crews talks about gender issues, both feminism and men issues.

How about emotional abuse?

i won't bother questioning it there because they are sensitive as **** and i am known for being insensitive and it would just turn into a shitstorm

but i am really sort of confused about why this sort of thing seems to keep popping up. it seems like feminism is really gaining a lot of traction and with it this transgender stuff is getting more and more attention.

i'm not trying to offend anyone but i always feel like in the back of my mind this is all bullshit and these people are just making a bunch of shit up. i can sort of grasp the idea of masculinity and femininity existing separate from biological sex and manifesting itself to varying degrees and in different forms, and sometimes people get the urge to be feminine in a male body or masculine in a female body etc. but it seems like they never stop adding more categories and shit. they just keep piling them on there. and some of them just make no sense to me. agender? you identify with no gender? how is that possible? and supposedly there's a non-gender as well? wtf. i feel like this is the result of bored white people in universities with lives that are just too comfortable.

also, people always using this sort of stalinist language like "i was born with the wrong body." that's not even biologically possible. you were born with a ****ed up brain if anything.

anybody have any thoughts? please enlighten me

Women for the win here.

I do feel like all these non-traditional gender definitions and self-identifications are a luxury of modern society. No one has time to contemplate their gender when they're struggling to feed themselves.

I don't think it's a bad thing, and I do recognize the phenomenon of feeling like you're born into the wrong body, but I also don't go out of my way to understand all the terminology.

But what do you mean by "Stalinist?"

just a buzzword i used to describe people expecting reality to conform to ideology... probably not an accurate use of the word stalinist but i think it sounds good so unless you have a better replacement word which i would appreciate i'm gonna stick with stalinist for now

but do you get the impression that some of these kids are looking for obscure ways to be a victim or a minority instead of just a normal spoiled white kid? like agender/non-gender.... i seriously don't understand what that is meant to mean

and when you ask them they respond well it means they don't identify with a gender or some vague shit like that. but what does that mean? how does one go about 'not identifying with a gender'? i can't imagine anyone who doesn't express either some sort of femininity or masculinity in one way or another.

also.. the lgbt shit has grown into some 20 letter monster of an acronym.

and then there's this:

UK Facebook users can now choose from one of 71 gender options, including asexual, polygender and two-spirit person, following the feature's successful integration in the US.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/technology/facebook/10930654/Facebooks-71-gender-options-come-to-UK-users.html

2 spirit person? wtf
am i really supposed to take these people seriously?
1 spirit is a stretch
2 spirit person ffs

I think there are a couple of things going on here.

1. More awareness of the "ends of the Bell Curve" regarding gender identity.
2. Education / Political correctness to minimize/eliminate prejudice against those who are at the ends of the Bell Curve.

As a postscript: white folk may come up with the terminology, but the diversity of the human condition is hardly limited to one race.

This also reminds me somewhat of issues regarding the Autism spectrum. Are there more autistic kids these days, or are we better at diagnosing, or both? Or, maybe there is more money to be made with expanding the spectrum.

Or how about child molesters, or kids being snatched off the streets? Is this occurring more frequently than in the past, or are we simply more aware of the problem?

I'm not sure that non traditional gender is necessarily a modern luxury. There are cultures that have and have had more than two genders in their society. I mean yeah in western society it's odd, but it's not a new thing to humanity. Things like your identity can be more complex than your society currently allows for.

yea and that's all fine and honestly i'm not anti-2spiritperson or whatever but it just honestly sounds like gibberish to me. i can get identifying with the opposite sex from what you were born. but beyond that are there really so many different types of confused genders? i mean where does it end? or is it just a spectrum of attributes and you can draw lines where you please? in which case either gender shouldn't be something we assign to ourselves as a label or they should try to minimize the number of different ones floating around, imo.

can you give me some examples of what you mean? i'm interested to hear about this.

this also makes me wonder what the biological driver for this sort of thing is? i mean "gender" as was traditionally understood in binary terms made sense biologically... but if its so common for people to mentally identify with a different gender than their biological sex then i would be curious how evolution has selected for such a thing.

You're right, and hermaphroditism is also a biological phenomenon that occurs in humans and other animals, and now that I think about it, the nations with the largest proportion of transgender individuals are developing nations like Thailand and the Philippines.

That said, I think a lot of non-cisgendered people wouldn't have been able to even contemplate making a transition had they lived eighty years ago--partly because of societal differences, but also because it simply wasn't as easy as it is now logistically.

All of that "2-spirited demi-gendered polyamorous demi-girl" type of gender is Tumblr-spawned garbage. And no, you shouldn't feel bad for not taking these people seriously.
