Here is a question for everyone: what if the man was overheard talking about joining ISIS, but he was also found to have zero weapons on him?In such a situation, what should happen? I'm not saying the guy was talking about joining it, btw. Just curious how some think the situation should be handled.

Okay so whatever you want to call it, does it truly shock you the media would try to frame something as such..even if it wasn't?They have an obligation to investigate, but in what way would you have done that? The only way to know he had no weapons would be to cavity search him. Or at least a pat down. Then if they found no weapons, they let him back on the flight.
Maybe I'm just cynical, but I feel like if they had pulled this guy aside and strip searched him for weapons and then sent him back on his merry way..I feel like this would still be a story, just not as big of a story. I feel like people would still have issues that he was pulled aside at all.
How is that relevant when it in fact is bigoted (kicking an innocent person off a plane because he spoke in Arabic) and you apparently agreed on the first page but for some reason now are spinning elsewhere.
They did search him.

I am pretty sure I was directly affected by 9/11 since I joined because of 9/11 and because I have PTSD and my dad lost his job because of 9/11.Dont play kiss ass to Imp rob, we had this convo already.
We did? We're friends and he said something I agree with, so why wouldn't I agree? Are you really going to jump on my back for giving a thumbs up? Cos you might want to think about that considering.

You know this is wrong. If someone detects a threat on a plane, you are legally obligated to report it, end of story. If someone even says the word "bomb" or "explosion" on a plane, it gets you thrown off and investigated. This story is just another bullshit story geared to gin up racism and stupid ideas.
Even if this article is bullshit, the fact that a man was ejected from an airplane simply because the language he was speaking was deemed "terrorist-like" or "threat worthy" is racist and profiling.

But thats only one story, the one you posted, the dallas news says something else entirely.
Look here. A arabic speaking person reported him for saying suspicious things.
It's worth pointing out 2 things:
1. The man was not kicked off the plane merely for speaking Arabic.
The woman who reported him was both Muslim and a native Arabic speaker.
2. Formal battle between visibly armed and uniformed combatants is different from recognizing the threat posed by people in peacetime who are ordinary looking people and also APPARENTLY weaponless.
The following tragedy wasn't prevented because the crew saw someone waving around a gun, for instance ...

So once you jump the gun, you can take it back and say "no I didn't".
We all make judgments and form opinions based on the information were are presented, and most can reevaluate those positions when new information is acquired.

He never took it back, he ran from the thread. Like everyone else did when they realized there was no race bait left. Embarrassing. Shows exactly what they were doing, instead of admitting they were wrong, they popped smoke.
He only left the thread when you started aggressively and homoerotically flaunting your stupidity in his face, probably making him uncomfortable.
Because that's what you do.
