Even if it was 100% about private and public policy, she was still just citing that as an example. Yet her response seems to suggest she said that quote in specific reference to Lincoln. When what she was really doing was trying to pivot away from her shadiness by name dropping Lincoln.Oh boy did she fail spectacularly.
well yes it did seem to be an attempt to shift attention to a seemingly unimportant context...when said context really doesn't diminish her words as it relates to the current general context. maybe if trump had hit her with that instead of "hur dur she blame lincoln" he might have wounded her case, instead of a just making people giggle with another silly-yet-false one liner.

Pretty much a lie, he did wound her with it, as its all over the news and everyone is running in on all channels.
Originally posted by Bashar Tegshe said she said it because it was something lincoln said, when really she just lied, and she covered it with talking about lincoln and the 13 th amendment. "I lied because i watch films about lincoln, remember slavery? Hint hint, Trump is racist."
i don't believe or disbelieve her. i just know that she never "blamed" lincoln. it's just an incorrect interpretation of what was said. again though, have fun with it. run to the nearest rooftop and shout it for all to hear. doesn't matter. trump is done.
Blaming Lincoln on your lies is a shitty thing to do.

next TI thread: "Hillary blames sausage for her lies!!"
You are right, I can blame her since she said it.
"I mean, politics is like sausage being made. It is unsavory, and it always has been that way, but we usually end up where we need to be. But if everybody鈥檚 watching, you know, all of the back room discussions and the deals, you know, then people get a little nervous, to say the least. So, you need both a public and a private position.
