No, I said I don't know too much about mental health treatments. You wouldn't need to be an expert about it to know more than me.
But then that doesn't exactly lend any credence to someone who knows more than you lol.
Also I will ask again: thoughts on the Sanctuary City story?

Yeah, okay, very smart, so I guess I'll be really, really specific so that you don't get confused: I mean judging people harshly. Assuming the worst. For example, feeling right in calling someone childish because of the way that they combat their mental problems. I mean, there are plenty of people who deal with problems in less-than-perfect ways, and I don't see the point in judging them [in a bad way] because I don't know their lives or how they work, etc.Yeah, no, that's not what I was saying, I was just pointing out that you said that I had no other experience with mental health other than articles found online (remember posting that?), when, in fact, I had.
I really don't see what relevance any of us having mental health expertise has on our ability to read something that a someone who is a mental health professional has wrote and then take information from.
Judging people harshly? Boo hoo I posted it on an internet forum. I didn't track them down and tell them to kill themselves.
Also, you mentioned you knew a guy with a mental disorder. Sorry, that ain't a major thing IMO, and thus doesn't bestow expert status or anywhere close. Otherwise I'm an expert in mental health and cancer and diabetes, cuz I know people with it. So I amend it: posting links and knowing a dude with a mental disorder is meh to me.
Originally posted by SurturThat wasn't what I was saying. I just don't think judging people harshly does the world any good, not does it do good to the individual. I mean, you thought that a mental health awareness day was a case of SJW-dom because of how jaded you've allowed yourself to become. So, yeah, I'd rather not let cynicism cloud my ability to perceive what things actually are, you know?

We are on a debating forum, where you appear to spend most of your adult life...
We are on a near dead forum in a topic that has mostly devolved into laughing at stupid SJW shit.
Also dude, you're on here nearly as much as I am. Most of the people who try to say I'm on here a lot..are almost always on lol. Always very quick to respond, etc.

Cool, it would help if we stopped coddling them like babies though. You know? In general I mean.
Originally posted by SurturWell, it's just your opinion that it's coddling. So I'll ask again, in your opinion, and throughout your adult life, what has helped you the most deal with the stresses of things such as university, 9-5 work, long-term relationships, screaming children, mortgages, etc.? If these other ways of killing stress are working but are too 'childish'/are a form of 'coddling', what methods do you propose that aren't childish and actually work at the same time?

Originally posted by SurturIt's the other way around actually, just because a non-expert posts a link it doesn't somehow take away credibility from the expert he's citing.

Originally posted by SurturI'm not on here 24/7 no, but yes you are whining about people with mental health issues, while simultaneously claiming we shouldn't give a shit. Follow your own advice dear, is what I'm saying.

Originally posted by ScribbleI could answer that for Surt, but I'll leave that to him. Lol.

Nobody is on here 24/7, so you not being on here that much doesn't make it so you are somehow on here less.

Lol of course it's my opinion it's coddling. Just like it's nothing but an opinion that it isn't.
You will also notice I never said that if your only way to heal is childish don't do it.
What works for me? Depends. A book. A movie. Porn. Laughing at other peoples misfortunes, etc. But then I'm a dick.

Surt has never held a job, and has no chance of getting kids, so he doesn't have to worry smh.
Lol both these things are simply untrue.
Well, kinda, the thing with the kids is I do not like children and never want one. I do not bang random hoes I pick up in a bar, the women I've been with I knew and I made damn sure they were on the pill.
So unless a chick lies to me about being on the pill or the pill fails, then yeah no real chance.
