Do SJWs suffer from mental illnesses?

If I'm using a drug it's for one of two reasons: enjoyment or pain.

No, I do not mean crippling emotional pain or any shit like that. I mean actual physical pain.

Boohoo.

Boohoo what? I'm simply saying if the implication is I'm just so sad and depressed and use drugs to heal emotional pain, that isn't the case.

Lol of course it's my opinion it's coddling. Just like it's nothing but an opinion that it isn't.

You will also notice I never said that if your only way to heal is childish don't do it.

What works for me? Depends. A book. A movie. Porn. Laughing at other peoples misfortunes, etc. But then I'm a dick.

Well, you have been using the term 'childish' in a flippant and derogatory manner, so even if you're not condemning such methods, you clearly think they aren't good ones.

Let's use a hypothetical: A war veteran with PTSD is suffering. He can't get over the horrors of war and wakes up in cold sweats every night to the sound of bombs falling. Somebody recommends adult colouring books to him, but he laughs it off as a 'childish'. Then, one day, he tries it, and it turns out that it works; he starts to worry less and his mind is being distracted from the things that haunt him. But he's worried about the stigma surrounding colouring books, and doesn't want to be seen as a lesser man because of it. Ultimately, he decides, **** it, he's going to use them regardless of what people think.

Is that 'childish'? To me, that would be opposite of childish. That'd be real maturity. But to you, if you saw him sitting on the bus colouring, he's a man-child who needs to stop getting triggered.

See how being judgmental [in a negative sense] is bad? You'd judge someone on something so petty and think of them as childish, despite not knowing their life story or their circumstances. It does no good. Not to you, nor the world.

I made no mention on the usefulness of treatments.

Which hey, don't get it twisted: if I get brain cancer tomorrow and the next day it's announced watching Blues Clues can cure cancer? Guess who has two thumbs and is watching Blues Clues?

If he's so afraid of stigma why draw on a public bus and not at home? Who cares? Did I say we should run up to people on the street and shame them?

If I saw a random man on a bus coloring how would I know his past history? Do you think I run up to random strangers and berate them? I might chuckle to myself, but other than that? No.

Well don't say I'm not flexible: All war vets get a special pass 🙂

I feel I owe it to you to tell you I'm taking this conversation far less seriously than you seem to be. We've come from coddled college kids to war vets drawing on a bus to sort out their PTSD. I apologize, I can't help but find this funny.

I know you didn't make any mention of the usefulness, hence the first part of my last post...

Maybe he has to draw when he has to draw? Maybe being in a public place scares the shit out of him and he's constantly expecting a suicide bomber, but he has to get to a doctor's appointment and colouring is all he can do to distract himself?

The fact that you don't know his history is exactly my point, how are you not getting this? I never said you'd berate them at any point, I was using it as an example of how flawed your presumptuous, [negatively] judgmental thinking is.

Yes, 'coddled college kids'. It's not like any of those college kids might be abuse survivors feeling isolated at university, who appreciate that somebody cares about them. They're all upper-class kids who know nothing of the hardships of life. Good thing that you know exactly what every single person in every single demographic is like.

So you acknowledge I'm not going to go run up and berate them, and you surely by now have seen this topic is mostly for shitposting about SJW's.

What are you attempting to accomplish? No, I don't know every single one of their stories. I don't care to know, because I'm not seriously trying to hammer these folk lol.

Was your "they could be a vet with PTSD" supposed to swear me off making fun of these coddled people on a near dead forum?

When I actively engage in harassing these people and coming to their schools and personally judging them I would agree there is an issue.

It's a thread about shitposting about SJWs, yeah, so I assume that you now realise that the thing about the university and their mental health awareness day actually has very little to do with SJW stuff, yes?

No, my point about the vet is that you perpetually broadly assume that all people who do one thing are all part of the same agenda, I was making an example to show how bad that line of thinking is. I said that in the last post. Wait, one sec.

Yeah, I literally explained why I did it in the last post, and it wasn't what you just assumed it was. 😐 I don't care what you do, but I have the right to prove to you how short-sighted your thinking is, because, honestly, it really is. But, you do you, and all that.

Wow. Lot of Salty Tears in that post.

Of course, Fly. Of course.

Yup, okay.

The stickiness will help absorb your tears.

Well, that's a plus.

I knew you would enjoy.

I dunno what I'd do without you, man

Damn...where the hell was this guy for 8 years during his presidency? I really am starting to believe his idiot character really was just a facade.

So sad that he was a warmongering, murderous president just like Obama and now Trump.
