I'm not going by film by film comparison. Aquaman made more than most MCU phase 2 films. When it's all said and done, DCU films will probably make more. We still have wonder woman, batman, joker, and birds of prey. Theyll make more than mcu second batch, me thinks.

You sure? There was Age of Ultron as well in MCU Phase 2. Anyway DCEU Phase 2 is losing for now.

So this isnt DCEU then, its just DC, in which case they must be on like their 5th phase by now lol.

We can count DCEU if you want. But at the end of the day, it'll be Batman, James Gunn's Suicide Squad, WW, and Harley. Some of those are Batman related, which always seem to make big bucks. Then you have Black Adam, which will more than likely come before Flash. And the Rock is the closest thing to a 90's super-star than anyone. DCEU phase 2 will more than likely make more than MCU's, I can almost guarantee that.

The movie budget was around 100 million according to updated reports. Not the 80 which were early estimates that are not likely true. So normally advertising and distribution would make it at least 200 million if not more since this film is on the heavy side of advertising compared to other films.
So in total it could be 200-250 million to make this movie.
But i dunno, thats just my guess.
Rumored cost was around 98, according to this article.

Don't know how much the marketing cost, but I doubt it's that much. That sounds like something on the lines of BVS or JL.
Either way, we're getting a sequel, with Black Adam in the works.
