I think its safe to presume the marketing costs on this film are in line with its budget.

Normally the way to get estimates on advertising, marketing and distribution costs is to double the cost of the film.
These costs range from 20 million for a small independent film to around 150+ million for a big block buster. Shazam isnt a small independent film and cost around 100 million to make and the marketing, advertising and distribution costing another 100 million or more is a safe bet. So in my previous post i said Shazams total cost was around 200 - 250 million. There is no issue with my estimate.

^ The reason the DCEU was behind by one film in their first Phase was because the DCEU kept revamping what they were doing. You cant not knock points off for that. I mean there was like 3 years between their first and second films. Jeez.Edit- Just count Joker in there to simplify it and call WW1984 the end of their Phase 2. Jeez.
Its upto Warner Bros when they want to release their films. Cant bring those reasons into an objective comparison of box office numbers.
Again, dont care about the years. Just how they perform. Over at BO forums, almost everyone knows that the dceu performs pretty solid at the BO, even though it gets average to low reviews.
But if you count joker, I think that will break out.

Solid numbers for a lower budget film. Should make a healthy profit.

#Shazam is crossing the $200M global #boxoffice mark right about now. Thru WED, totals are $126.4M intl, $67.4M domestic & $193.8M worldwide. Today shd add another $9-10M with the total passing $250M on SAT or SUN.
400 looking likely, or maybe a bit below.
Predicting around 22 M, second weekend. It'll be #1 again.
'Shazam!' Poised for Second Weekend at #1, Topping 'Hellboy' & 'Little'

If that is for the average movie, then movies like Ant-Man didn't make hardly any profit, since it's production budget was bigger.
