WAL-MART is owned by conservative Republicans. It is the largest private employer in the United States, and pays its employees poverty wages. This results in 52% of its full-time employees living on public assistance at a cost of $135 billion a year to the American taxpayer. Profits before people is a conservative mantra.

Now it is run by his conservative Republican children, you retard.

Speaking of poverty and wages, has anyone heard these stories from various parts of the country about businesses, when faced with being forced to pay a higher minimum wage that it seems liberals want, deciding to turn to machines?

McDonalds is one, some of them are thinking of using a self service kiosk lol.

Automation is happening regardless of the min-wage, as technology progresses, machines/tech get cheaper. So even if the min-wage was cut in half to $3.63, it still could be cheaper for a company to use machines to take orders, while employing a skeleton crew.

And yet it seems the $15 thing is helping that along quite nicely.

Yeah aint it horrible when people don't cave in and just get in with the flow to your way of thinking.

Yes and no. Not all min-wage jobs can be replaced with a machine. eg while a kiosk can replace three order takers at McDonald's, you still need a person to oversea those kiosks, step in if one fails etc and you need people to cook/prepare the food. Those people could benefit from not having a poverty-wage.

I don't think kiosk overseers would be min wage folks considering what their job would entail. We need a better plan for the future though because automation will replace many jobs in the future not just min wage earners.

We do have a replacement for Mim Wage. Its called Welfare.

Texas hunters who accidentally shot each other blamed undocumented immigrants, police reveal

Investigators think paranoia about 'illegals' led the group to mistakenly open fire on each other

A hunting guide and his client accidentally shot each other and then blamed it on undocumented migrants, police in the US have said.

Officers attended the scene at a remote south Texas ranch, near to the Mexico border, in early January, finding the two men bleeding from gunshot wounds. A second guide was involved in the incident, but escaped without injury.

The casualties, guide Walker Daughtery, 26, and client Edwin Roberts, 59, and the other guide, Michael Bryant, told police they suspected the shooters were undocumented immigrants they had seen on the ranch earlier in their trip.

Their story was shared thousands of times online after Texas Commissioner of Agriculture and Donald Trump ally Sid Miller wrote about it on Facebook.

But police and a grand jury have now concluded the men were lying about the incident, and actually shot each other.

Investigators believe that Mr Daughtery became paranoid that illegal immigrants were inside a vehicle with Mr Roberts and his wife and attempted to get inside without saying anything, prompting Mr Roberts to shoot at the door.

Mr Daughtery then ran back to his cabin to grab his gun and to get backup from Mr Bryant, and together they opened fire on the truck. -snip

After the alleged attack, a family friend setup a GoFundMe page stating that Mr Daughtery and his group were involved in a shoot-out with some illegal immigrants that were trying to steal his RV with his clients still inside it.-snip
