Spider-Man was already in a MCU movie called Civil War and WW topped that domestically.
We all know Spider-Man is a bigger name around the world than WW. He does sell a lot more merchandise and already has a slew of films, so it's not surprising that he beat WW world wide. Wonder Woman in SPITTING distance to SM world wide is INCREDIBLE. and WW having a 4x multiplier AND beating all movies domestically is a much bigger story. That's why everyone is talking about it. 🙂

Yes WW did fantastic crossing the rare $800mill mark.
Point is WW isn't the biggest superhero movie of the year. Not even the 2nd biggest. Those both go to GOTG2 and SM:Homecoming (until November at least).
Also the DCEU had its chance to capitalise on big names with Man of Steel and with Batman v Superman. So stop with the excuses Golgo!

Well, of course, but the box office heavily follows domestic, since that's where the studio gets most of its revenue. Domestic is the most popular and will be that way for a long time. Its the number one market for film.
