Then we get this.

Not 100% confirmed

i think it will confirmed early next year that book of boba and mando season 3 are different things

It seems odd that they teased the Boba show in a post credit scene. They could have just as easily had a Ahsoka post credit scene for her spinoff.

Which makes me wonder if this isn't turning into a Boba Fett show.

Even so I still think there will be 2 Mandalorian themed shows.

Anyone else know about that past SW authors got their royalties snubbed?

Makes sense. It doesn't take a genius to realize that fans want to see Luke being a bad ass, there's a huge demand for it, and the most recent episode confirms that. Just look at the reaction online.

But, at this point, CGI won't work. They need to commit and recast. I understand them being gun-shy after Solo, but fans would be far more invested in a series about Luke at his prime and rebuilding the Jedi Order than a Han Solo origin story.

I've seen people asking for Sebastian Stan/Bucky.

Yeah, Disney bought the rights to print the books, but deny they have to pay royalties. Dicks.

Not remotely surprised, given the ridiculously positive reaction to Luke in the episode.

Just don't Picard the ****ing thing, is all.

Disney has a chance here to redeem themselves for what they did to Luke in the sequel trilogy. That Luke sequence in the Mandalorian should have been what the sequels were about.

I'm hoping Grogu becomes a Jedi and becomes responsible for the return of the Jedi Order. But after what happens in the sequels it's going to be hard to pull off.

Disney is like "holy sh_t, people like Luke!"

Confirmation season 3 of Mandalorian is not the same as the Book of Boba Fett:

They should just retcon things to where Luke basically grooms Grogu into the next master of the order.

Grogu would basically be Luke's contingency plan- I.e. if anything were to happen to Luke, Grogu would have the skills and mastery to continue rebuilding the jedi.

An even bigger FU to the sequels.

The best thing I think, about Grogu, is that the dude is 50 right now. You could make a movie or a show with him set 500 years from the time of the sequels and he'd still be in his prime, he'd just be grown up. You could have a new Jedi Order and everything, which I think is fairly preferable to this whole thing they're doing with the past stuff.

I liked Solo. Think it would work well as a series. But going for Lando instead is probably the wiser choice.

But yeah Lucasfilm needs to stop coming to dumb conclusions. Favreau and Filoni seem to know what Theyre doing though. Probably because theyre actual fans.

That was my idea (a few posts back) of how to fix/erase the sequels. I see you liked it 👆

Set episodes 10, 11 , 12, 100+ years in the future. So that all the sequel characters would be long dead.
Have Grogu there with a new generation of Jedi, and new (non Sh1t) characters, to make new stories.
The only connection to the old movies would be that Grogu was trained by Luke.

Flawless way to save the main story, and phase out the sequels and all the garbage that came with them.

How many Dark Troopers were there in total? Trying to figure out how many Luke plowed through.

Between 30-40 by my count.

Though I certainly enjoyed the finale, it is sadly indicative of where the fandom is at that they embrace a lifeless deep fake over what was easily Mark Hamill's best performance in a film.

Sadder still that people think the ending a legitimate 'f*ck u' to TLJ. 😬
