Don't care, I care about what the fanatics on each side are doing and currently their actions aren't equal.

And then five days later Moore will be elected and rewarded. Most likely, at least.

The fanaticism of Muslims is about much more than just Islam. You think it’s a coincidence that the most oil rich area on planet earth is also the most politically volatile?

According to the people doing it, it's about religion.

I have no qualms with you on this point, Islam and Christianity are equally shitty 👆 Both have repugnant horrible things inside them.

Sometimes things can be equally shitty, just in different ways(I think ep1 and ep2 of Star Wars are equally shitty, just in different ways). Other times both things can be shitty, but one can surpass the other.

We have more terror attacks where "Allahu Akbar" is screamed than we do "Jesus is awesome!". There are many backwards muslim majority countries. You can be stoned for adultery in some, killed for being gay, murdered for trying to leave the religion. It's even okay to murder if someone is making "mischief". That's so incredibly vague I could use any slight to justify murder.

These days if you hear about someone being killed for trying to leave a religion or for something like an honor killing...we both know the religion in question that it usually turns out to be.

The people doing it are pawns being manipulated by larger forces. Iran doesn’t hate America because of Islam, they hate us because we overthrew their government and installed our puppet Shah and fuked with their politics for decades

Lol I just wonder, does your mind immediately go to Roy Moore whenever you hear about a leftist sex scandal?

They're being manipulated via religion.

The other problem is that in Islam politics and religion are intertwined. See sharia law.

Islam is being used as a tool for manipulation, yes.

And Christianity isn’t a staple in American politics? I’m not saying it’s the same thing because sharia law is the worst, but American politicians are ALWAYS making Christianity based policy. Why do churches not pay taxes?

So my point stands.

If that’s your point then I agree, it’s very unfortunate that Islam is being used in these negative ways.

So, like I said.

Christian values did indeed help influence laws, etc. as well as politics. However, they didn't force all their beliefs on people and make them laws.

It's not against the law to take God's name in vain. Nor is it against the law to worship another God(or no God at all). Nor is it against the law to lie to your parents or cheat on your spouse or covet someone elses stuff.

Muslim fanatics are more harmful than Christian fanatics, I agree with that. Doesn't mean Islam is worse than Christianity.

Don't you think maybe the reason for this is because it's so much easier to justify violence, etc. with Islam these days than any other religion? It lends itself more to violence than Christianity currently does.

Christians have launched several sincere efforts to eliminate teaching evolution in schools because it goes against the Bible, they've doctored text books and forced creationism down our throats. I know I'm in Texas. Christians have banned gay marriage several times, they've federally funded gay therapy where they shock gay kids to "cure them". Christians do all sorts of religion inspired policy, which spits on the constitution.

I judge based on actions and currently one's side actions are far worse. when that changes, my opinion will change.

And that is wrong, but it's not stoning people to death for being gay or killing them for trying to leave the faith.

I am reminded of a story where a guy raped someone and the punishment was his sister gets raped.
