Um, wasn't your entire point on the last page that Mueller's steering away from collusion and more strictly on obstruction. It was. You're contradicting yourself, sport.

I shall now note my own: I disagree. The rumblings we seem to be hearing about obstruction tell me that now they are shifting gears, moving away from collusion to throw all their weight behind trying to get an obstruction charge.

Lol, how is this hard to get: obstruction having always been on the table isn't the opinion of yours I was noting. The fact you think this means these rumblings do not mean anything in terms of steering away from one to the other is the opinion.
John Oliver is a badass
Held Dustin Hoffman accountable, spoke truth to power
We have leftists making fools of themselves and leftists getting devoured by their own tactics. Like Trump Jr. says: love it.
Look at the cuck that is John Oliver, confronts Dustin Hoffman:
Says some of the stupidest shit I've ever heard.
"After Oliver read from a 1985 diary entry written by intern Anna Graham Hunter, Hoffman asked the host if he believed what he’d just read.
“I believe what she wrote, yes,” Oliver said.
“Why?” asked Hoffman, who had accused the moderator of not keeping an open mind.
“Because there's no point in her lying,” said Oliver, who at one point called out Hoffman for not giving evidence that what the actor was accused of didn’t happen. "
No point in her lying? Wow lol. This guy literally can't comprehend a scenario where someone would lie that a celebrity did something to them. Hilarious. Ignorant as all hell, but hilarious. The fact that someone called him a bad ass for that exchange is hilarious, lmao!
And now we see the lefts own tactics being used against them:
MSNBC is cutting ties with Sam Seder. ‘I think they’re afraid’ of Mike Cernovich & Co., he says.
Back in 2009 the guy made a joke about Roman Polanski raping his daughter, meant to make light of the fact people at the time were whining about Roman Polanski sort of getting a pass from people for what he did and how people were saying it was a long time ago, etc. lol.
Mike Cernovich and his team found the old tweet, and put it into the limelight again. Now MSNBC is cutting ties lol.
I have to say...it's just pure comedy. Did the guy deserve to have ties cut over this? To me, nope, but how many times have folks on the left gotten their panties in a twist over sarcasm or a joke? Now they see it from the other side and I'm quite amused by that.

now watch as the right tries to spin it as an act of hypocrisy, coz reezins.

I think Oliver's critique is that Hoffman's apology was dismissive and rang of the talking points that men use to discredit women.

To say he can't fathom why someone would lie here is utterly retarded. There's no real defense of it. Sometimes people don't want money they just want attention.

Taking a accusation seriously doesn't mean believing them without question.
The weird/amusing thing is this "believe them without evidence" thing at one point was being used by some on the left and now it is basically devouring a bunch of people on their side. The atmosphere created is such that I think even someone who knows they did nothing wrong would hesitate to say their accusers are lying, even if that is what they are doing. Because if they do there is every chance they will get smeared for victim blaming, etc.
While Republicans are more or less expected to deny stuff like this and say they are being lied about. I'm not saying that is right or wrong, but that is the reality.
The latest accusation is almost comical. I mean we are getting to the point where anything can get people shaming you lol. Here, people can judge it for themselves:
"She said that she was there with her boss, who had just left the studio. The woman added that she was in the process of gathering her personal belongings when Franken appeared.
“He was between me and the door and he was coming at me to kiss me,” the woman told the outlet. “It was very quick and I think my brain had to work really hard to be like ‘Wait, what is happening?’ But I knew whatever was happening was not right and I ducked.”
She said she was “startled” by the occurrence and was able to break away from Franken.
“I just sort of booked it toward the door,” the woman added, “And he said, ‘It’s my right as an entertainer.'
Lol that is pretty funny. Just the way it's described makes it sound like Franken is some rapey disembodied specter who literally appeared out of thin air to force himself on her.

He needs to molest a few children before they'll accept him as one of them.
It almost sounds too over the top to be true, but on the other hand celebrities have shown in the past they do have a very strange sense of entitlement. I think after you factor in Franken's own personality...yeah, he probably said it lol.
I am good enough, I am smart enough, and doggone it I can force myself upon you.

Wow, if Franken resigns that will be insane. Sounds like that will be the case, though. Some 25+ dem senators are calling for him to go. What a fall.
He should, he scummed it up, so that's the price you pay. At least if you're a Democrat.
Besides, having Democrats resign for being scumbags while Republicans are rewarded for being scumbags might sit favorably with the Democrats in regards to the middle-voters come 2018.
