Mass Shootings in America Thread

Put a cop or security guard in every school. Maybe two of them, or more depending on the size.

Someone with a gun could have maybe stopped this. Or maybe their presence would have made this person not go through with this.

Do not come at me with "that's extreme!". There are schools near me with metal detectors and rules that all students must have clear book bags. We can station a cop or two in these places. Hire some more.

So he mentions a fact about the perpetrator involved in the shooting being discussed and you mention a completely unrelated shooting? You had plenty of other shootings to choose from but chose that particular one. Why not Sutherland Springs? Why not Virginia tech? Why not Sandy Hook or Northern Illinois University or Las Vegas or Fort Hood or San Bernadino?

Because the Scalise shooting involved a leftist.

And these people have pulled the same off topic shit so many times that whining over it is just bizarre.

So, move on; I brought it up, and I will do so again if people try to imply Trump is responsible. No sequence of words you put together will change that.

And yet 13.1% of mass shootings were stopped by unarmed civilians and only 3.1% stopped by armed civilians.

Neat, I'm sure those 3.1% were grateful someone armed was there.

Maybe if we had more we'd see a higher number. How many schools have armed security?

Cuz here is what won't be happening: banning all guns period. Which is where this is heading.

Who's blaming Trump on the shooter? No one is, sport. That's just you having a hissy fit over something which didn't happen here. You did though blame "Leftism" on Scalise's shooting. This is a fact; it will not be argued.

Now will Trump do something about this shooting? No, he'll do the "mental illness" skit because of this guy's skin color. If he had been Muslim, it would have been "see why we need the Muslim ban!?", if it had been an illegal, "See why we need the wall!?" How do I know this? Because it's happened before; we're on repeat of the same ole same ole.

If it turns out the guy was actually diagnosed with and being treated for a mental illness will you still have a problem with the illness taking the rap?

FBI on FL shooting: FBI protocols ‘not followed’ after suspect was reported to authorities in Jan.

"According to a statement Friday from the FBI, the caller provided information about “Cruz’s gun ownership, desire to kill people, erratic behavior, and disturbing social media posts, as well as the potential of him conducting a school shooting.”

The FBI conceded that due to “established protocols,” the caller’s information “should have been assessed as a potential threat to life,” and passed along to the FBI Miami Field Office for investigation and possible intervention.

“We have determined that these protocols were not followed for the information received by the [FBI’s Public Access Line] on January 5,” a portion of the statement read. “This information was not provided to the Miami Field Office, and no further investigation was conducted at the time.”

I trust these people completely.

Saw this, someone posted it on instragram:

"Let's rename 'school' as 'uterus' so maybe Republican lawmakers will want to do something about the children dying inside them."

Sandy Hook and this latest one both had armed security, off the top of my head. I'd need to look up the others.

Would you have not whined if I mentioned Sandy Hook? Is this what is being said?

Just say: Surtur, I would not have whined if you mentioned Sandy Hook.

And nobody said it would prevent everything, so..you go find those things, I guess. It won't change much, but go for it.

Um, your premise was that it would, why else would you bring it up? You are retarded.

Oh please, leftists here pull the same shit all the time. Move on. It'll be mentioned if people try to blame Trump for this.

Where did I say this would prevent everything? Quote it.

Do not pull "you implied it!" nonsense.

You can discuss it. Just like I can discuss the Scalise shooting.

Now do more flips because Jaden proved you wrong.

So I give the stats that show unarmed civilians have stopped more shootings than armed ones and I give examples of where armed guards in schools didn't stop mass shootings yet you still think that maybe more armed civilians might stop them happening.

Seems something that won't change is your mind. It's almost like it's made up by partisan rhetoric as opposed to facts.

And yet none of them and here you are mentioning it anyway.
