Yeah, look, obviously this is a situation where there were different interpretations. I don't think there was any ill-will in the posting of those particular scans.

From a judging perspective, DS pointed out that I was skeptical of it. And I was. It's not hard to raise an eyebrow when they've gone out of their way to present Thor and Surfer as near-equals in the past. But my lack of familiarity with that particular arc, mixed with the other where he reformed Stormbreaker, and mixed with the nature of the fight where there were no rebuttals, made it far trickier. So I was going to give the benefit of the doubt to tactics that might be rebutted in a longer fight. Context does matter, so while I can't say for sure what I would have thought about it with the new information, some of my opinions undoubtedly would have changed. But again, I don't think it was deliberate misinformation. It's definitely possible to slip one past the goalie, so to speak, but as Mutant pointed out, given the collective knowledge of the forums, chances are one or more participants and judges are going to see through that attempt.

I thought Creel was boned due to the matchup issues, primarily with Loki. My ruling made that obvious. After that, it was honestly a coin flip in my head. So while the ordering may have changed somewhat, imo nothing about this would have changed the two who moved on.

How is BENTLEY VS LORDOFBROOKLYN coming along?

Also @Supermutant. Even though your matter manipulation is being hotly contested, I did not come across anyone stating it was an outright illegal move. Only that they do not agree with your interpretation. And based on Damborgson ruling, and looking at how the judges view said feat. Its still not deemed Illegal and up to you if you want to push the feat in the future.

Just don't be surprised if the Judges do not line up with your claim if used again in the 2nd round.

Case and point I just had 4 Judges tell me I can not force my opponents to become unworthy Psychosmatically. Which sucks, since I figured its a damn clever tactic. But I am not going to risk judgement points over a tactic which the judges are not buying. So! I am switching tactics and I advise you do the same. Or not.peaches

I'm just waiting for another judgement. Smurph has his in and now I just need Philo and/or digi 🙂 Rage as well but he seems to be a little busier. That said, Rage if you're still able I would welcome your verdict.

The rest seems to be sorting itself out fine, and the moment we have a winner from the last match I'll get the semi-finals rolling.

Also given that there are no more write us for the moment I want to mention that combatants don't need to emphasize their ability to use Mjolnir. Unless you're a thunder god you don't get certain abilities that I mentioned but aside from that, go ham on the Mjolnir feats. There's a lot. Do I think you'll all have much trouble with that in the semi finals? Nah, but it's worth mentioning

No problem here with what you said. My issue was with DS calling it an illegal tacit and Leo considering it something underhanded or similar. Especially with what they were doing. And whatever nonsense Phil was accussing me of.

I'd encourage you to push for other judges. It's easy to lean on the same handful when you're trying to move things along, and I'm glad to judge whatever, but multiple perspectives and judging options is always a good thing.

Guys, please suggest posters for Damborg if you think of them.

There would be like 6-8 people chiming in with responses IN THE THREADS as the matches were going on. And the earliest winners were determined by polls. It was just utter chaos.

I am not salty was just surprised by the amount of tears from my opponents. From a feat posted in the last couple of pages of SS respect thread where the exact same arguments for and against are still there lol. From some of the same people who have posted in this thread.

While I appreciate my total vindication from Damborgson, it should not have even been needed.

I get mine in either in 12 hours or 36, lol.

1. A judge was the one who initially called into question the interpretation of those scans

2. No one said anything about the scans until You felt the need to justify them here and open them up to scrutiny

3. There was evidence presented to support the misinterpretation. For all his vindication borg said he wouldn’t interpret the feat as you did. Only that it wasn’t illegal to try it.

4. Everyone said there piece and moved on. Well almost everyone apparently.

I need one more judgement for LoB vs Bentley and we'll be done with that match. After the tie breaker judgement, ill get the semi finals up and running. 👆
