Rian Johnson just deleted like 20,000 tweets. His reason was that he didn't do anything wrong, but "better safe than sorry". Which I agree. There were a lot of comments to his tweet along the lines of "it's sad we're at this point now". I wonder if they realize it's more than likely they belong to the very same side that brought us to this point in the first place. I wonder if this fact will ever dawn on them. Probably not.

So she resigns...and proceeds to play the victim. Calls what she did a mere mistake, but says ICE LIED about her because they spelled her name wrong, got her position wrong, and were mistaken about her being the first to tweet this. I love that part. Her mistakes are mistakes, the mistakes of ICE are lies. She also whines and says ICE shouldn't target private citizens. In other words: if someone mistakenly labels an ICE official as a nazi they should just shut up and take it.
It gets better: her job for the New Yorker was as a fact checker lol.
The best part is she then asks for donations. So just so everyone is clear: she is trying to raise money off a paraplegic war hero...after mislabeling him a nazi, which caused him to receive several death threats.

Nah. I think Prof. Kleck is right: focusing on all those gunshots from shotspotter may end up creating bad outcomes like the police not giving enough attention to more productive areas.
If we focus just on the reports, which is what Prof. Kleck said to do, that's still that 14% figure. Until a better figure is released by Shotspotter, 14% of those shots being reported still results in millions to tens of millions of DGUs which either closely matches Kleck's and the CDC's numbers or it greatly outpaces Kleck's and the CDC's figures.
It was a terrible debate to start, to begin with, because you agreed, implicitly, with most of Freedom Toon's points, anyway. You stated it was a terrible video but that wasn't your actual position on the video. You were just speaking with piss and vinegar in the moment.
So at the end of the day, even the smallest DGU figures, greatly outpace the 33k deaths figure, which was the red herring Freedom Toons was addressing.
Do you see why this 'debate' was silly to begin with? Agree or disagree with Kleck's figures, DGU's still greatly outpace deaths by guns each year and by a significant margin by even the very low-estimate studies on DGUs (the 108k figure). And as I've pointed out and agreed with from reason.com, focusing on which number is larger (deaths vs. DGUs) is stupid to begin with. That should not be a measure of quality for keeping guns legal or taking them away.
