Yes I don't agree with her tweet, but calling for an advertiser boycott over that is not the appropriate response.
You're allowed to file complaints against fellow workers, and customers are allowed to report and recommend action on the incompetence of employees. Hogg, and anyone else who has watched tv is a customer supplying her the ratings which are where she gets advertisers from. If Laura doesn't want to lose her advertisers, then maybe she should stop being an idiot.

Says who? She is not entitled to reap the benefits of these advertisers and if u think someone who can't make substantive arguments against highschoolers doesn't warrant revenue streams, you have every right to say so.You're allowed to file complaints against fellow workers, and customers are allowed to report and recommend action on the incompetence of employees. Leveraging your social influence to go after someone’s income because they insult you is absolutely petty and I would say immoral.

I mean shit I could maybe understand it if someone else did it in his defense, but imagine having the ****ing ego that someone insults you and you immediately call for everyone to boycott them. That's not Hogg standing up for his principles and "changing the world," that's him being vindictive over an insult.
It's much more egregious an insult when Hogg compares Marco Rubio to the ****ing school shooter.
Talk shit get hit. If she didn't want those problems she shouldn't have started them. I don't know if I'd agree with what the kid has to say regarding gun control, but he's perfectly justified for tearing Ingraham's ovaries out for talking shit. 👆
Originally posted by NephthysYeah but that's retarded. Surviving an active shooter situation doesn't give your opinion any more validity. It would make you better at understanding what it's like to be in one, but that doesn't help you determine what is needed to prevent things like that from happening as often.
And I disagree for the reasons I stated.
Originally posted by Eternal IdolThis is an apples to oranges comparison. The Japanese-American internment camps were an action directly perpetuated by the government, the other an act committed by a disturbed individual. The idea that the government shouldn't detain its citizens with no evidence is, frankly, a much more simple one than the idea of preventing mass shootings through better gun legislation. As such it is much easier to support, and the experiences of the survivors and how they suffered under the actions of their own government is much more relevant than the experience of a bunch of kids surviving an active shooter situation. See, all those kids can really emphasize is how horrible an mass shooting situation is with their experiences. Which... pretty much no one openly disagrees with. By comparison, the Japanese-Americans were detained by the government, which is to say that it was openly endorsed and even perpetuated by the US.
I'd like to weigh in on this myself, but I believe George Carlin said it best, in regards to Japanese-Americans who were removed from their homes and placed into internment camps during World War II. Their experiences should absolutely carry weight in, say, the argument why citizens should not be detained without reasonable suspicion.
The government does not openly endorse of perpetuate school shootings my friend. The comparison is not valid.

David Hogg calls people who disagree with him on politics child murderers, and he has the gall to demand a boycott of people for not being civil towards him?
Though actually, Hogg at least has recently gone through a more traumatic event than you probably have in your entire life, and is also like 17. It is perhaps more understandable for him to say stupid shit given those circumstances.
