The Challenger (Grandmaster Prime) vs Darkseid

Started by TheHulkster5 pages

Didn’t Challenger resurrect the Black Order? All but one had been killed previously.

I'd need to see Challenger resist something comparable to the omega beams. And right now he doesn't have that. I dont believe.

current DS doesn’t have anything to say he can’t withstand WW level punches.

In a weaker incarnation, he pretty blew off Zeus' punches

and to be fair to Darkseid, even if he was getting rocked by Diana at the end of the ordeal he was still pretty well off.

He only did so well against Zeus because of the use of his omega beams, Zeus punch has him on the ropes.

He needed Grail to save his ass, 3 punches in and he was on the back foot.

Why must we always go from one extreme to the other? Carver is an idiot, but Darkseid is hardly a supreme level being. The entire plot of the Wonder Woman and his very goal currently demonstrates that he is anything BUT a supreme level being.

Child DS was not killing Skyfather level beings unless I missed a comic? Teenage Darkseid managed to beat Zeus but it was explicitly through energy absorption. He was leeching Zeus' power the entire fight.

And this is mostly impressive because we are pre-supposing a Skyfather level similar to the beings we are a familiar with. Which is fair, but if we do the same for Grandmaster, the Challenger one-shotted him.

I give Darkseid the win personally simply because he's been around longer at this point and has much higher extremes such as Final Crisis obviously but the idea that it's not even close, based on the current portrayal is ridiculous.

I went overboard with the supreme level being lol. But this guy was destroying universes and had heaven pack up and leave. He was reborn but is still the same being though. So I guess we’ll agree that he wins but agree to disagree about the reasons why.

The forces of Apokalips are destroying universes.

Darkseid wins with his infinite power then?

Darkseid does not have infinite power.

Darkseid does not have infinite power.

Darkseid is fueled by the Source though. Not saying his powers is Infinite, but the being that powers him has.

The same can be said of the Hulk.

That's not what the comic said.

Didn’t otherwise. And why is Hulk being mentioned?

Challenger would be fueled by the Power Primordial.

Because he is fueled by an infinite or near infinite source of power, which was cemented on the day that the Beyonder mentioned it.

Darkseids OE seals the deal. It really depends on the Avatar though, most would win, True Darkseid would stomp.

Challenger is a joke. Classic Grandmaster is/was more impressive (with a flick of his wrist, he one shot KOed Surfer/Classic Strange/Savage Hulk/Valkyrie/etc...). Darkseid should win.

Where did Grandmaster do that?

Yeah they've really ruined the character. Sometimes he gets a decent feat, but more often than not he's a punching bag.

He can also manipulate space/time so he can see and interact with people operating at the speed of light and beyond:

He can raise the dead and do other exotic stuff with his powers. He's a legit skyfather IMHO.

EDIT :
Surfer wasn't there, Namor was. My bad.
