Oh, yeah?Tell that to Peter Jackson. Fellowship and TT had re-releases, too.
Anyway, it might be just one post-credits scene, from what I heard... something that everybody with the working Internet connection (and a functioning brain) can google.
How soon after the original release did 'ol Petey re-release?
Took quite a while.
But we still don't know the EG re-release date, do we?
Keep in mind Deadpool 2 got re-released as a PG-13 edited film... it got brutalized by critics, but FOX still got the cash...

If it's gonna be a post credit scene....then why not just have it on the blu-ray sale? They still get profits added from those sales right? In fact wouldn't the price be bigger than a movie ticket?
Also sure movies have had re-releases, but I don't recall none of them having any extra incentive or some kinda push to wanting to beat another movie. Then again, I haven't really been keeping up with movie releases soo who knows. /Shrug
Though I could care less honestly, since I never really got into this whole MCU thing. It just seems a bit silly to charge people $10-12...however much a movie ticket is nowadays, just to see something that will probably be on the blu-ray or hell on Youtube, especially if it's a freaking post credit scene that shouldn't be that long.

It's nothing more then a ploy to get these brainwashed "corporate" drones to pay for another ticket so that Disney can brag that Avengers is the highest grossing movie of all time.
On the one hand, I'm very much a cynic in the sense that I fully believe Disney is only doing it to beat Avatar.
On the other hand, my dad didn't get to see it the first time around, and I've no problem watching it again as I enjoyed it.

I'm starting to worry it might just be a myth.
Unless they change their mind or something, though I doubt that.

Imagine being so insecure that you spend a bunch of money to re-release your film just so it can have a meaningless win over Avatar. Meaningless both in the sense of who gives a shit which film made more money, and in the sense that despite Endgame having far more going in its favor by relying on an entire franchise's worth of films as well as decades-old characters to generate hype, it needs a re-release to break even with a film that had a completely original (relatively) concept and was the first in its series. And only released once. 😂
It just makes the people behind the MCU look like punks.
