Originally posted by Darth ThorNo, Hulk is the powerhouse since he’s the physical beast whereas Thor is the warrior hero who refuses to give in. Pretty sad unless he gets the most powerful weapon he’s ever had and even then he failed.
Actually your opinion as well. As youve finally kneeled to my superior Wisdom and admitted Thor is the teams true Powerhouse.
I would like to think so. For the longest time the 2 characters nerfed the most in the MCU were Thor and Hulk. Thor finallly has gotten some love (still no where near comic levels obviously) but Hulk has actually been on a downward slope since introduced.
Hulk getting ko'd by Iron Man is still the worst showing of any MCU character to date. I'm not expecting Hulk to actually be more impressive than ever in Avengers 4, but it wouldn't be that hard to do with such low standards.
Originally posted by CPT Space BombNo, it isn’t. You’re thinking of it like a nerd and not like characters who aren’t unbeatable. Hulk was coming out of a mind funk and Iron Man reformed as well just to take on the Hulk. Thor was beaten by thugs in Ragnarok but it’s no big deal. These guys aren’t unbeatable and plot devices always exist to negate a power advantage.

What’s funny is Thor hasn’t ever ko’d the Hulk and he’s had two fights to prove he can. Let that sink in.
Originally posted by CPT Space BombI know that’s why I say this is very close. Each guy has different advantages.
Hulk never KO'd Thor either. Not in a 1v1 anyway. 2v1's don't count.Any child with an iq over 10 could watch Ragnarok and understand that Thor was double teamed; i.e. not a fair fight. Thor was whooping Hulk's ass prior to being KO'd by Grandmaster.
Thor wasn’t double teamed until the end. I agree that wasn’t a fair ending since GM cheated. Thor hurt him but the Hulk can take it and did. He wasn’t ko’d and was ready for more. If the fight ended with Hulk ober Thor just rocking his face prior to Thor using the lightning amped punch one would argue Hulk would have won. He didn’t and I don’t think Thor would keep the momentum. This is down to the wire. Very close matchup historically and now on screen.
Yes, the fight was filmed to make both characters look good. It was Thor's movie though and realistically he came away looking better. He had the upper hand and Hulk didn't seem to have an answer for God Mode Thor. Then Thor got zapped and knocked to the ground by GM.
My point with Thor v Hulk round 2 is that Thor was doing all that without his weapon. Mjolnir amps Thor and allows him to channel has magic and striking power. Putting up the fight against the Hulk he did even WITH God Mode was impressive. He still would have "lost" due to Grandmaster being a little ***** but yah...
My point is right now, Thor is on an upward trajectory whilst Hulk unfortunately, is on a downward path. Hopefully we can finally see a Worldbreaker Hulk performance....I'd love to see it on screen.
Originally posted by CPT Space BombI don’t think Hulk has a downward trajectory I think they are going to go crazy in avengers 4 with Hulk roaring back onto the scene. The shitty thing for Hulk is that due to Universal we won’t get any solo Hulk films. Thor looked great in the film as I expect for Hulk in the next. I just think it’s a matter of when each hero shines. Thor is onviously more well rounded than the Hulk but the Hulk is still the strongest hero there is well unless they choose to have Captain Marvel change that though I personally doubt that.

The irony is my top three favorite MCU heroes are in no order Strange, Thor, and the Hulk.
Hulk looked better physically than Thor against Ultron but this always changes and different situations favor each of these characters. Thor coming back on the battlefield was an amazing scene in wakanda. The third act of the film is out of this world great. Then when we get Thanos and the Titan fight it’s just amazing until finish.
Thor and Hulk will always be close imo. Best heroic rivalry in comics and now on the big screen.
I disagree that Hulk looked better against Ultron though. The final Ultron was Ultron Prime. Also made from a lot of Vibranium.
The ONE hero that Ultron singled out as his biggest threat that he knew he had to try and take on personally was Thor. It wasn't Hulk or Iron Man. He started fighting with Thor but Thor and Vision had already formed a plan and it worked perfectly.
Also, Ultron wasn't defeated until Thor, Vision and Iron Man triple teamed him and fired their most powerful magical and energy attacks at him. Only then was he softened up enough for Hulk to go in and finish him off.
Originally posted by CPT Space BombI’m just saying ultron really worked over Thor one on one. Hulk looked great in that film. Yes, an infinity stone and those two all converging to weaken Ultron. Just that Thor didn’t look great and and Hulk looked fine against Ultron.

Sure, but that was a feat FOR Ultron. It was meant to make Ultron Prime look good. Also, Thor wasn't trying that hard. He and Vision had worked out a very choreographed attack where Vision would blindside Ultron. Again, it's kind of a dumb plan but they made and executed it.
Also, Hulk NEVER FOUGHT Ultron Prime. All he did was punch him AFTER Thor, Iron Man and Vision had to go all out to weaken him for the kill. It took 3 super powerful avengers for Hulk to be able to come in and punch Ultron. That doesn't constitue a "Fight" for Hulk. Hulk was on Cleanup after the other Avengers softened him up.
Originally posted by CPT Space BombI don’t see Ultron manhandling the Hulk in that manner but it’s to be expected since he’s the brute of the team. I do agree they had a plan which caused for more time to pass.

Hulk is the heavy hitter of the team.
