I remember that. Can't recall if that was straight social media or some nerd media outlets in the vein of cbr, newsrama, etc...
For whatever its worth, I would tend to put more weight with the latter rather than the former. I guess u can call it a form of snooty bias, but it just seems more official. And for the record, I did think Sentry was more responsible for his death than the final strike that hit him.

Was CBR,

If you type CTRL+F then put in die it will be the 4th one hat shows th epart in question.

Always loved that scan. The art is lovely.

But of course as we know Darkseid has a weak point on his 12th Lumbar haha.

Jokes aside that scan is extremely impressive. Superman has power level that is extremely dynamic if he needs to act. Look at OWAW as an example. Then eh will perform way under that grade. It is part of his character to be on one hand extremely powerful when the time comes. But writers put failsafes in his way to stop him from just OWAW'ING every character he comes across. While that would be enjoyable to read in the end it would get old very quickly.

A character like this makes it very hard to discuss on battleboards because we can either go with the Superman that can do something like this, go OWAW mode able to see things in whatever second variation. But then if say for example Helspont comes back and lands a punch on him then someone could for instance say "Superman is so slow he can do one thing one time and another thing at another time".

To make characters like Superman easier to discuss I think people need to be a lot more specific. Superman also suffers being that he appears in so many comics it's crazy. In the end a character like him becomes chaotic to debate about to a point. Unless specific clarification is exacted.

👆

He has a built in "variable power level" depending on his mindset that allows the writers leeway to fit him in the Justice League, or have him fight Darkseid alone. Not unlike some other S-type from the neighbour company that struggles with his power, heh.

In Highfather and Zeus's own words:

A few more I have at hand:
Him and E2 Superman hitting each other shatter space/time:

He nearly shatters Diana's bracelets [for reference: https://imgur.com/a/AEa64] in a few strikes:

For the laughs, he goes into punch-outs with Living Universes:

The point is you know when Sentry died in SIEGE. Peoeple were debating all over about did Robert want to die or did he not and he was just killed.

Then Bendis says in an interview that Sentry wanted to be killed but he didn't want to put a 4th wall esque line where someone says "Damn if Sentry didn't want to die we couldn't have killed him". Which is what my point about flowery language/poetry however you wish to describe it comes from.

The point is people shouldn't have to resort to contacting the writers. But when a debate ends up descending into complete non sequitur s it has to be brought back. Otherwise people might as well be asylum inmates talking to their reflections.

It to me at least was pretty obvious that was the case that Robert wanted to die. But as is nature people debate which is fine. But if someone then says "x is an idiot".

Or like how in this thread insults are being traded. It makes no sense. Though in the case of this scan Bendis has sort of made this pretty ambiguous by accident. I'm pretty sure he didn't think of writing that line to be some awesome Deceptive Cadence type thing.

That interview still hasn't settled it.

People still debate it to this day, lol.

I like what Bendis said here, btw:

I see there is a lot of online speculation about that, and I thought it was pretty clear. I don't like to over analyze these things. I prefer the work to speak for itself, but I'll put two things out there.

edit.

nevermind..

I am Neh Buh Loh! Who comes up with such names?

I wonder who started with the insults. Fragile mind that one.

And lol at u sing Brevoort on a social media platform.

That seems to be a random throwaway book instead of an actual handbook.

Why not? He is an editor and edits Thor as well.

Lol how is that a throw away book?

Because u can't deny that mini was referenced in an official marvel handbook, the handbook is now a "random throwaway"?

Should i even take u seriously?

Yeah, that's ridiculous. Should start saying that about books you don't like.

"Pfft, stupid throw away series. Feat doesn't count."

Its not even a feat, the comic mentions out of continuity stuff which has been stated out of continuity by Marvel editor himself.

And now you have contradicting material. So it doesn't count right?

Its not a handbook. It was reprinted from Thor vs Hercules TPB extra pages .

Better that than reprinted pages out of TPB.

I seriously don't know what you are getting at.

What is it you are trying to say?
