Going to be very interesting who they cast as Shaddam , Feyd, Irulan and Count Fenring.

I'm thinking if The Batman is testing well, they might cast Robert Pattinson as Feyd, but he's a full decade older than Chalamet.

Or they could go with Bill Skarsgard, he has that lean and crazy look and he's closer in age to Chalamet, also his daddy who's already in the film could put in a good word.

Michael Fassbender for Shaddam and Anya Taylor Joy for Irulan.
Don't really care about the other two. I wouldn't be surprised if they omit Feyd entirely and have Rabban take his role.

Feyd's supposed to be like like a dark version of Paul and Rabban's already coming off like a screaming retard, so can't see that happening at all.

I dunno. Both are ultimately pretty irrelevant to the plot.

everything that made feyd relevant to anything has been ommitted, so i think he'd basically just be a spare nephew of the baron

I think you're both wrong and Feyd's importance to the story will be blended into part 2.

If not, then lame of them.

I suppose if they expand Fenring's role they could delve deeper into the politics and lore that part 1 glossed over. I just don't see it happening.

Thinking about it, I hope you and Bash are wrong, but will probably end up being correct 🙁

The Batman is the planned start of a trilogy. I don't think we'll see Pattinson in another blockbuster movie besides those for a while. May not have the time.

which novel is he in?

The first book, Dune.

He might be mentioned in the others, but I've only read the first.

i don't want to be right about this, but i think i am. suspected that rabban would die in part one to make room and use for feyd, but here we are

he's completely forgotten after book one. we don't even find out what happens with that bastard child of his that the bene geserrit commissioned

I don't think Rabban will be melded into Feyd's character.

But I think you could be right and Feyd will just be nephew #2 something something scene.

Let's hope, I do find the lack of the reason the Bene want the Messiah troubling. That only a man can look in that part of the mind that will drive them mad.

You don't like that they left that part out?

How could they have done it though, without inciting a backlash? You'd get accusations of gender favoritism from people not familiar with the book or who felt that part should be altered as a relic of a bygone era..
