I'm thinking if The Batman is testing well, they might cast Robert Pattinson as Feyd, but he's a full decade older than Chalamet.
Or they could go with Bill Skarsgard, he has that lean and crazy look and he's closer in age to Chalamet, also his daddy who's already in the film could put in a good word.

The Batman is the planned start of a trilogy. I don't think we'll see Pattinson in another blockbuster movie besides those for a while. May not have the time.

How could they have done it though, without inciting a backlash? You'd get accusations of gender favoritism from people not familiar with the book or who felt that part should be altered as a relic of a bygone era..
