Ok abhi. So you think the head injury had no purpose but just to have a new look? writer doesn’t outright need to spell things out even in the handbook stated his mentaility changed. His mentality changed meaning it was not a standard version of him and based on what he has done before and after this scene he was not at potent.

It's a power for power struggle.

I'd take Orion by a smidgen.
1. He has the plot device gear. Not something he will go use 99 out of 100, but at least it's an avenue for him no matter how unlikely.
2. He has the durability to withstand Graviton's power(at least for a time). Orion is one of the toughest sobs in dc outside of Superman. I'd bet on him surviving crazy pressure before he starts really unleashing.
3. He has powered through gravity manipulation by a sentient GL planet while tooling the top GL.

4. He has the feats to contend with ridic power the level that Graviton has.

You're telling me to believe you without any proof.

I would like to see some proof of what you're saying.

As I already mentioned it’s in the handbook what I said that his head injury changed his mindset. Then you have to use common sense that a head injury which was made for this specific encounter had relevance for this showing. He was frail and weak the rest of the iron man run which resulted in him being so unstable he killed himself. Then also have to look at the showings before this and after to show that the head injury clearly impacted him as he has treated iron man without much thought.

I’ll repeat. Do you think the head injury served no point in the story?

Or this.

glad to see the vacation didn't affect your ability to lowball. it is certainly your go-to move. 👆

anyway, those couple of sh!tty feats in no way whatsoever impact his overall level. anyone capable of so easily taking out thor can absolutely take down orion just as easily. even if you showed orion's high feats, thor's high feats are just as high or higher and they didn't help him at all. orion's only chance imo, minus plot device powa! is tp via MB and i'm still not convinced that would work if he were shielded as he would be in a battle like this. and for god's sake, get the F*** rid of the lowballing.

Speaking of head injuries affecting performance: where did this come from?

Wasn't Graviton hanging around the corona of the sun in his last appearance before the Raft, which is much much hotter than what Iron Man burned him with?

^ Yes.

Pretty much. You can actually match thor's feats 1 to 1 with Celey's Orion's feats. Exactly 1 to 1. Graviton was a team buster and had an advantage on an avengers team that included thor.

I actually was about to start posting Orion's losses (highlighting how he gets actually stomped against trans tiers), but decided not to because frankly im getting tired of this debate. So im taking my leave right about now.

Which handbook?

Why are you stalling so much if it is so obvious?

Right, because Thor hasn't lost to people he has no right to lose.

Even in his debut, Graviton didn't exactly defeat Thor and the only time he has beaten Thor is the Thunderbolts issue.

It helped Iron man after all.

All-New Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe A-Z Update #01. On third page of his bio

“Although recaptured he evidently sustained a head injury and was more megalomaniac then ever...”

Meaning not himself and based on showings before and after this encounter showed his abilities were not at his best. As mentioned he was frail, weak, and scared the rest of the run which ended with him killing himself.

They also fought Thor 324 and graviton was beating him and then used a plot device to stop him. But even Thor admitted he would have lost if he didn’t use the drugs

You mean this?

Nowhere does that mean that Graviton was weakened, just that he was more delusional than before and he has always been delusional.

Right, where Iron man dents his shield with a full power punch.

How will Orion be able to do that.

Yes, beating him. He has never totally defeated Thor except for Thunderbolts issue.

What you talking about? So your saying suffering a serious injury which changed his mindset wouldn’t impact his abilities and fighting ability? 😬 He was weak, scared and fragile the rest of the run before he ended up just killing himself. What happened when graviton was healthy? he easily repelled iron mans full power attack with the rest of the avengers

Uh-huh. Just like he repelled Human Torch and Thing?

You're essentially saying he was weakened despite it never being specified.

Good luck with that.

Cool. After he sneak attached him while he was fighting Thor and While graviton was still restraining the rest of the Avengers and still elevating the landmass high above New York. Context

How did he not totally defeat Thor there?

Yes, while doing that. Orion is maybe a little stronger than Iron Man I think.

Thor was still conscious and able to fight.
