This isn't actually a comicbook movie imo, just uses a comic character. That's why it doesn't have these things you're complaining about; it wasn't something they cared about.
Well, regardless, you don't make a movie based on a character and change his/her key characteristics and expect to call it the same.
Sure, he is a different Joker, but he isn't The Joker.

Yeah definitely not the best adaptation of the Joker. But I still appreciated it as an artistic character piece based on the iconic villain.Plus... damn it was just an insane film.
It was great and nuts as ****!
I didn't like the Joker's voice though...I found it too high pitched.

When Marvel creates a villain, they give him superintelligence, superpowers, enormous strength and to top it all off a reality warping gauntletWhen DC creates a villain, they give him a shitty life
Lex was rich
DD was OP as ****
SW was powerful
Ares was a God
Zod was a Superbadguy

Ill type out a more detailed response tomorrow but it’s probably my favorite portrayal of the Joker post-Hammil. It’s certainly on par and interchangeable with Ledgers- in terms of the absolute mastery of Joaquin’s performance but they’re different in ways
I look forward to your lengthy review. 👆
