I really don’t think less Rose was the problem with Star Wars

I think the explanation is pretty simple, Rise of Skywalker already has such a schizophrenic ADHD pace and feels like it has almost no time for even the most important aspects of its own story, putting in more secondary characters simply wouldn't have worked and would have made the pacing even more off putting.

Also why is it okay for TLJ to shit on what JJ did in TFA, but JJ can't take his own steamy dump on TLJ?*

He's SUBVERTING EXPECTATIONS GUYS! Isn't that what made critics love TLJ so much? People totally expected more Rose and we got less Rose. Expectations? Subverted.

*I realize JJ had some involvement in TLJ, but not as significant as he did in TFA and RoS.

How did TLJ shit on TFA though? Like what was the direct contradiction?
